Someone please help me. I did not shut down or remove my game cartridge or even close my 3DS while saving. I just turned on my game and BAM! It doesn't load up. Next thing I know, it says that my save data is corrupted and it asks me if I want to delete my save data. Do I have to start from scratch again? Can anyone tell me how to backup my game or let me know if I can do anything right now? Thanks to anyone and everyone for anything and everything.

You're going to have to start afresh; sometimes games just corrupt randomly, even if you didn't do anything to it. Have you done something with your SD card?

There is no way to back up your game - you just have to be extremely careful. There are also only a few ways to prevent it in the future, but since you said you haven't done anything, I'm not sure what to think or say.

No, I haven't done anything with my SD card nor have I transferred any data recently, so I guess I will just have to start all over again.

I didn't know this could happen for no apparent reason.So sorry for your loss.I can help out with a few rare items.
Happened to me with two towns I really wanted to keep, both on the same cart so I only use it for test runs (see what so and so's original room is, etc) but first was my first EVER town that had Merengue, Bangle, Francine.. I loved it so much. The other time I was going for all deer and had Bam, Beau, Diana, and Deirdre, but it sadly killed itself as well. I don't trust ever using it again

This is horrible! D: I can't imagine having this happen to me. Although I don't think I'd be that upset only because I've been tempted to start all over again anyway. Haha. That would just be the push to FORCE me to do it.
