Wow, that's crazy! It's nice you live close enough to the border to do that. But yes, I would think having to go through border crossings every time you need to pick up a package would really be a time suck as well as a gas suck.As a Canadian I’ve noticed the shipping costs for packages from the US have gone crazy as well. What I really don’t understand is how I can often buy stuff from Japan and Europe for usually cheaper shipping than the US. The US is literally a hop skip and a jump from me (less than a 20min drive from my house to the border literally) but shipping for a small item will be like $50. A similar item from Japan or Europe is more like $10 or sometimes even free.
There is a place I can ship to just on the other side of the border thankfully where I can go pickup if I have to. It’s so much cheaper to do that. It’s just a hassle if the crossing is busy.

But seriously as soon as I hit like I was thinking dang it, you don't see the number 1 come up very often in a rng, lol.Aw, my apologies! It was announced here in the thread as well as in a separate post in the main event thread, and we also posted a site banner with a link. To be honest I only expected something like 10 people to show any interest in something like this, so to see nearly 60 entrants was a bit of a shock!
I'm definitely considering a hosting a second giveaway closer to the conclusion of the event if all goes well, so you'd be able to enter this redux edition if interested. I can PM you a nudge if/when it goes live if you'd like.
