For the last three entries to the Creativity Blog, they were mostly game ideas. It's time to switch it around. I will go over other things. This time, I came up with a toy franchise idea.

"Collect 'n' Connect" is the name of the toy franchise I came up with. It's to revive the old McDonald's/Burger King toys where we collect the toys to put them together. I'm not going to get the exact same toys, but I would come up with more complex ones.

Each set in a franchise will contain all of the pieces to make one ultimate model. They range from 4 to 10 toys per set. It's not like Lego or Mega Bloks. It's like collecting a set of action figures. Each toy contains a few pieces (such as the person or a vehicle). They have their description as well. But if all toys from one set are collected, you can combine some of the pieces to make a supermodel.

SAMPLES:

  • The Golden Bird
    • Description - a golden van that can fly like a helicopter. Top blades lift it off, side blades move it in mid-air, and landing rods makes a suitable landing so the tires don't puncutre on landing. Not a flying toy.
    • Toys needed:
      • Golden Van Competiton - includes a golden van, a girl, and an obstacle course.
      • Ski Racer - includes a boy with removable skis, a flagpole, and a mountain.
      • Metal Splitting Experiement - includes a boy, a lab table, and two rods that can be put together to make one wide rod or large helicopter blades.
      • Workshop - includes a girl, two ventilation fans, a plate for big projects, and a machine for flying car controls.
      • Master Lab Computer - includes a girl, a large computer set, a bench made of two chair seats, a safe, and a machine.
    • What to make - the machine, the safe, and the bench from the Lab Computer set goes into the golden van in the back. The machine on the plate from the Workshop set is in the front seat on the right side in the golden van as the blades from the ventilation fan go to the sides of the van's exterior. The mechanism of the spinning disk and the mechanism from the rocking platform from the obstacle course of the Golden Van Competition set goes to the top of the van and the underside of the van (respectively). The skis from the Ski Racer set connect to the underside of the van through the mechanisms. Finally, the blades that can be split into two from the Metal Splitting Experiment connect to the mechanism on the top of the van.
  • Rocket Truck
    • Description - a long truck that has spaceship like abilities. It has wheels like an actual truck, wings to stabilize it in the air, and a booster that makes it speed up.
    • Toys needed:
      • Robot Museum - includes two towers, a bridge in between, and a giant robot on wheels to act as a statue.
      • Laser Tag Stadium - includes a dome with entry doors, a half-man statue on top with a shooter.
      • Tour Bus - The front can break off.
      • Rocket Simulator - the thruster part can break off of the rocket simulator.
      • Concert - includes a stage, a stadium seating, a few music players, and stadium lighting.
    • What to make - the tunnel that connects to the two towers in the Robot Museum set can be used as a truck body. The robot's wheels from the same set are to be put onto the tunnel's underside, the sides of the shooter from thr Laser Tag Stadium can be taken off and put on the tunnel's sides to make it look like a rocket with wings. The Tour Bus's front and the Rocket Simulator's base and thruster can be put on the front and back of the tunnel (respectively). Finally, the stadium seating in the Concert set can be put inside the tunnel with the seats rotated to one side.

I can only think two examples at this time, but you can get the whole idea if you see this blog entry.
