Lol no, same program btw it's SketchBook Express. I just draw really good when I'm on the road idk why. Glad you like them! :)

Wow, these newer ones are cute! You seem to have improved quite a lot! I love 'em :)

Let me tell you a thing:

No one got better at anything by not practicing. Don't let others discourage you from doing something you find enjoyable, because the more you do it, the more you learn and the better you become. Look at tutorials, practice over and over. Start with heads, then eyes, then facial expressions and eventually you'll develop your own style and be able to put it all together.

Just know that there will always be people who dislike your art, and will be mean about it whether you ask or not. To that I say, take actual critique that benefits and furthers your learning and throw out the unnecessary comments. You're trying to learn and improve, which is something that speaks volumes anyway both in the world of art and in other areas, so also keep that in mind, and build up your confidence.

Hey OP, you wanna see a little comparison picture of my art from 3 years ago or so compared to now?
HDlusnc.jpg

Yeaaaah, not that great. The only difference between you and me is that the only place I posted my art was on Facebook and I'm sure my family/friends didn't have the heart to say that it was terrible.

My point is that, even though this was a sloppy iPad drawing that, admittedly, is pretty mediocre, you can and WILL get better. Practice, practice, practice my dear. Look up anatomy references. Don't trace, but look up poses that you can look at and then attempt to draw on paper for practice in things like that. Look up little art tutorials. If you work better with pencil and paper, start off drawing like that and later transition to digital art so that way you'll at least have a grasp on the actual drawing aspect of things when you transition into using a tablet and what not to draw.

Unless one is somehow born extremely gifted and able to draw the face of Christ at age 2, you're not going to be perfect at it at first. You're gonna mess up and get frustrated and discouraged and wonder why you keep trying. But I'll be damned if you won't improve the more you practice. You may not see it right away, but the improvement will be there. Some of the commentary here was harsh, but personally? I can understand your insecurity towards posting your art and why you made the comment you did in your post. I just want to see you keep it up, keep drawing, keep trying, because you can do it.

Oh, your newer doodles have improved so much, they look adorable.
Also aaaaah powerpuff girls are super.

your drawings are adorable. the only advice i can give you atm is just practice, and i personally think it helps to look through the work of better artists to get ideas from them or look through tutorials on dA

and if you want, i can send you the program for paint tool sai to make the practice easier. the program is simple and you can put together really good drawings with it

Here let me tell you something. Start out with a pen and paper. That's how almost every good digital artist has started out. It's a lot more easier to work with as a beginner, so you'll be able to learn anatomy and other things a lot easier. After that, you can apply you knowledge in a digital medium. Just my 2 cents.

Hey :) I think your art is cute, and as long as you like what your doing, keep doing it!
I remember back in 2013 my art was so cringe-worthy but I actually felt proud of it and kept going. If you feel like you're doing good and your having fun, you will definitely get better with time and practice , because you will still have your motivation to keep you going. :) when I first started with digital art I couldn't cover 1/4 of my screen >.< but I thought I was good and seen some tutorials and eventually developed my own style. Its definitely not as good as most artists around here but I like it :) this is gonna be embarrassing but I'll show you my first digital drawing vs a sketch I did recently.

All drawn on a 3ds with a broken stylus and that's tough XD

So my art isn't the best but the point is that I like it and its helping me push forward. Have confidence In yourself and use the insults you get as a way to improve c: some people will make you feel like quitting but that's part of being an artist! Keep trying and you'll DEFINITELY see improvement :D I look forward to seeing your future drawings~

//sorry if this was too long and sappy, its 1:39 am and I need sleep x'D
Ew, this is the first time I've shown my old art to anyone but I hope it inspired you c: //

Wow! On a 3DS? But how?!?! Is there a app on eShop or what?

Ah sorry for the late reply ^^" but yeah, there's an app on eshop called colors 3d! Its good if you like drawing on smaller screens

Dude, why do people have to be so rude for? :\ I'm really sorry for those nasty comments you got earlier. Your art is really cute, and quite good for an iPad drawing. (I cannot draw on those things for the life of me.)

But hey, don't ever give up drawing. Even if you feel something you drew looks awful, it isn't. Why? You drew it. And that's pretty amazing that you did! Every time you draw something, it will get better, I assure you. No one is born an amazing artist, or a scientist, or born with skills in everything. Everyone has to start from somewhere you know, and if you're determined to improve, don't ever stop doing what you love.

The thing that most artists get put off by is how quickly some people learn. Don't feel as if you have to live up to that either, as you will improve in your own time. For example, let me show you how long it's taken me to get to my art where it is now.

This is something I drew back in the beginning of 2013. My sense of anatomy was non existent, and my proportions were pretty terrible.

tumblr_nsxg55wOsu1s66c51o1_500.png

And this is something I drew yesterday. My anatomy has improved as well as my over all art style, but there is still a lot to improve. And it's like that for everyone, everyone can always have something to improve on, no matter how good of an artist they are.

Don't let those horrible comments get to you. Focus on drawing more and more, and never be afraid to seek references either. References help with art, and it's not cheating. c:

I hope I kinda helped. heh. ^^;

since everyone is showing their old art... ahaha

and based of your more recent drawings i can see improvement
