No, but it wasn't included to be exploited. It's the same principle.
And you know because your dad works at Nintendo amirite?

1. You don't know what they intend.

2. Don't compare glitches to purposley in-game content. If they were against TT, they wouldn't make the clock go up too high past the current date. You're just using lame excuses and bad comparisions to justify your idea of cheating.

Their intent is obvious. It's a game about life. You play every day, just like life. You can't time travel in life. If they would have put an actual time machine or something (lol, TARDIS) in the game, then it would obviously be intentional. But you and everyone else who defends time traveling knows that it's not the way Nintendo wants you to play the game. You just use the excuse that "it's in the game, so it's not cheating" because you don't want to be called a cheater. >_>

They could've easily prevented Time Traveling. But they didn't, so what does that tell you?

Unless I hear Nintendo say it themselves, it's just a baseless opinion with nothing to back it up but "hurr you cant time travel in real life" You do realize this is a game about big headed furries right?

How? They have to include a way to change the clock, in case the time is incorrect. Hell, you can change the date in Wii Fit, and it's very obvious that Wii Fit isn't intended to be played like that. If a game relies on date and time, there's got to be a way to change it, in case of an error or Daylight Savings Time. The fact that there's a way to change the date and time does not mean that it was put there to exploit the game. It's cheating, you know it, but you just don't want to admit it. I'm not telling you how to play the game, okay? I'm just saying that it's cheating. You can cheat if you want, that's your choice.

You can make the max time change of a day, to the beginning of the day to the end of the day.

What if your time is off more than a day, though? People make mistakes. And a lot of people who just don't care about the time on their console have incorrect times and dates for their Wii. Most of my friends did, until I fixed it for them... XD But the point is, the feature is necessary. It's not there to be exploited.

If they didn't want you to abuse time traveling wouldn't they add a resetti of some sort?

Then how would the game be able to tell if you were cheating or honestly changing the time because it was incorrect?

Can't we all just get back to the subject?

I suggest you wait, now that people are arguing over TTing. He's probably open by now...

Add him for longer term things, instead of something like TT'ing a day, have him come if you TT for a week or something.

What if you time was off by more than that? It's easy to accidentally set the time ahead or behind one month or year. Maybe they could have gone out of their way to find some solution to it, but it's not worth it. People can play the game however they want. If they want to be cheaters, then they can do so. They're still cheaters, though.

Not really, the only time i could see someone messing up that bad is at the beginning, maybe if the console's clock is off.

You're supposed to TT into the past, no matter how far into the past it is and nothing will be messed up.
:eek:fftopic: At first when I saw the title, I thought this thread was bashing me. :p

"You should time-travel into the past, because no matter how far you time-travel into the past, nothing in your game will mess up"

On an off topic note, I think people should play however they want and other people shouldn't tell them what is cheating and what isn't, because there isn't one specific way to play Animal Crossing. Just because one person doesn't play the same as someone else doesn't mean the features they use is cheating.
