Tye, you have no idea what it was intended for, that's what i'm trying to get across. Don't say it's cheating when you can't proove it is. It's just your opinion. Don't go spouting it about like it's fact.

Obvious or not. There's no proof. Therefore it's not cheating. So next time you call it cheating, I recommend putting "imo" in the sentance.

Do you really think Nintendo wants you to time travel? Really? The answer is obvious, it doesn't need proof. Exploiting a game is cheating, period. And if you still need proof, Nintendo did put elements in the game in an attempt to counter time traveling, like the rafflesia (the large flower that attracts flies that appears if you time travel too much) and weeds. If Nook is closed for the day, then you're supposed to wait a day, not cheat by skipping ahead one day. The only time that I see time travel as a reasonable way to play is if you missed a big event because you couldn't play that day. But skipping ahead in time to speed up processes that are supposed to take days or to participate in special events and holidays early is definitely exploiting the game. I don't see how anyone could think otherwise. It's exploiting, it's cheating, it's not how the game was meant to be played. Nintendo created Animal Crossing to be a game that you play day by day, like real life. You know that. Stop denying it. >_>

Ever heard of time-traveling? XD
Some people actually don't like to cheat, you know. >_>
Time Traveling is a built in feature. There is no homebrew or anything involved. It is in no way cheating in the slightest.
It's only built in because it has to be, otherwise you wouldn't be able to change the time for Daylight Savings Time or if you made a mistake. It's not how the game was meant to be played. >_>
they could easily have it built in to change itself for daylight savings. >.>
they left it in because nintendo likes to watch the fans rage.

I say go ahead, time travel, theres nothing stopping you.
Exploiting a game isnt cheating. its "exploiting" which is similar, but not the same.

but personally I like to keep it within a weeks time period.

Quoting limited to 5 levels deep
If they didn't want you to abuse time traveling wouldn't they add a resetti of some sort?
Then how would the game be able to tell if you were cheating or honestly changing the time because it was incorrect?
Add him for longer term things, instead of something like TT'ing a day, have him come if you TT for a week or something.
What if you time was off by more than that? It's easy to accidentally set the time ahead or behind one month or year. Maybe they could have gone out of their way to find some solution to it, but it's not worth it. People can play the game however they want. If they want to be cheaters, then they can do so. They're still cheaters, though.
I'd like to note another thing. It is easy to accidentally reset, isn't it? Dying battery, maybe the cord gets accidentally yanked out, etc. Yet still they have Resetti, of course if they had a TT resetti, they'd have him warn you when you first TT and stuff, etc. etc.

I agree with mega... :) My counter argument: New Year's shirts... They started way even before the game came out so... what does that suggest? REWARDS IN TIME TRAVELLING :0

TTing isn't a glitch.
No, but it wasn't included to be exploited. It's the same principle.
Ninty made 3 games before City Folk I'm pretty sure they knew what would happen.

Also Glitches are different from cheating.

Glitch = Getting outside of a map
Cheat = One shot kills

Ninty Doesn't give a *censored.3.0* what you do with the game as long as you give them $$$.
