"Don't worry, we'll make sure nothing happens," I reassure her. I'm confident that no one in our whole group would rather stand by and watch rather than protect Cindra if Hades tries to punish her.
I notice James start to shake ever so slightly and I grab his shoulder lightly and whisper to him. "Are you okay?" "Yeah, fine."
"Really? You-" "I said I'm fine!" I say a little to loudly.
"He probably just hates Hades after spending so much time down in the underworld," I tell Alex. "I'm sure your boyfriend is fine," I add with a giggle.
Downstairs in the training room, I sit down in a chair in the corner. Why doesn't James seem like himself? I wonder, sending the head of a dummy at the other side of the room flying up into the air. He seems to have been acting weird since the alleyway...
As the others leave, I decide to stay in the aura room with James. My phone rings and I grit my teeth. For the love of god...
"Aren't you going to answer it?" "Huh, no." I mutter, I can't take the call with her in the room.
"Hmm?"
The dummy head falls towards the door where Cindra enters, and I have to jerk my staff forward slightly to halt it so suddenly, suspending it above her just in time. "Oh, nothing, it's just that James seems to be acting a little strange... I'm sure it's probably nothing though."
I sigh relieved as the phone stops ringing. Alex gives me a look of confusion. "It's nothing." I say and put my hand on her head, shaking it to mess her hair up.
I lower the dummy head away from Cindra, then put my staff down, wanting to test just how much I can do without it. I focus on the headless dummy near the opposite wall, trying to lift it upwards.
"It's strange, isn't it... Like I said before, I'm sure it's nothing important, but I'm still a little worried..." I mutter, not taking my eyes of the many which starts to hover shakily upwards. It's quite heavy, and it takes more energy that I expected.
Eventually the dummy becomes stable and stops wobbling as it hangs in the air. I try to spin it around slowly, but I lose concentration and it comes crashing down, making a loud noise that was probably heard throughout the entire hotel. "Whoops..."
