Dark Veil (Roleplay)

I laugh briefly. "Let's go and see if there are any spare staffs in the training room, it'll be easier to have me of your own," I suggest, standing up once she heals the bruise.

"Okay," I say, nodding, and stand up. "This may be funny."

We head down into the training room, and luckily there is a staff on one of the racks near the back of the room. I lift it off, and bring it over to us, suspending it in front of Cindra. "Here, this one should be alright for basic spells."

"I will come and-" I start before my phone goes off. Not now...
I turn and follow the others and stop when I see James remain in the room. "Are you coming."
"No, I will catch up, go on ahead." I say and shooing them off so I could take the call when I was alone.
(Imagine this was a few posts ago XD)

I take the floating staff, and it feels smooth underneath my hands. "What now?"

"That depends, is there anything in particular you want to start with? I can teach you basic spells like fire, ice, moving things or wind, it's up to you," I reply.

[Cordelia]

I yawn. "I'd better go to bed.." I mutter, and soon fall fast asleep.

(I'm gonna stop roleplaying for a bit. See you guys later!)

I stand in the corner of the training room and lean against the wall. Why is James so secretive about his phone? Is he hiding something?

"Okay. The dummies are good targets for fire spells," I say, bringing one closer to us. "Magic is actually quite simple, but not necessarily easy. The first step for all spells is to imagine what you want to happen. So in this case, a fireball heading towards the dummy."

"Okay?" I say nervously. I imagine a medium size fireball shooting at the dummy.

"I TOLD YOU TO STOP CALLING, I SAID I AM DONE WITH YOU GUYS! I HAVE CHANGED!" I scream down the phone and slam it shut then groan. I will have to catch up to the others... I walk down to the training room.

"Okay, tilt the staff forward slightly, towards the dummy, and try to focus your energy through it, with the image of the fireball still in your mind."

I nod, tilting the staff towards the dummy. I picture the fireball, and suddenly let out a surge of energy. A small fireball shoots towards the dummy, and singes the top of it's head as it flies past.

I walk in the room and see a fireball fly past. "She is good." I say impressed as I lean against the wall next to Alex. "Way better than you."
"Thanks moron."

Impressive...
"Well done, that's great! I'm actually pretty impressed that you managed a fireball on your first attempt, it often takes people two or three tried to manage anything."
