Gooood afternoon. Becky moved in her house today and she is not a duck. *cheer* Chickens aren't much better, but she's purple and seems nice so I'll give her a chance. And now that little section on the east side of town doesn't seem so empty. In other news, Phineas was in town today and I finally got the Villager of Honor badge for playing 500+ hours.

Now I guess I can take today to talk a little bit about my best friends in town.

My first exposure to Animal Crossing was Wild World, which I discovered in elementary school. Buck and Chief were my favorite villagers of all time. It can hardly be said how elated I was when I began New Leaf to find that Buck and Chief, my two best friends, lived in my town, right next to each other, just like that.
Most of the time they're even wearing the same shirt. I take this as a sign of the sincerest camaraderie and I'll buy the same shirt for myself, to show the world I'm part of their gang.
And I have a third best friend. Lolly is the sweetest little animal I have ever met in all my days as Mayor of this town. I met her when she was camping in my town one day last summer, and at first sight I knew she was meant to be with me forever. And fortunately I could convince her to move in. Every day I can count on Lolly to make me smile, but today she said something that made me melt right in my shoes. I was on my daily walk when she ran up to me, and my first thought was the usual "What do you want from me now?" But then...
