Hello, folks. I got a late start today and was rather exhausted as a result. So I'm sorry if this post ends up being short and boring. Anyhow, I emerged from my home and immediately Whitney ran over. She said she wanted to move. Really, Whitney? You literally just moved in. I am hurt. You'll just have to stay so I can ensure that you love it here and never want to leave again.

I noticed that the Fairy Tale Roof I purchased yesterday had been installed and it's actually a really pretty roof. Not even in a fairy tale context; It's just really nice. And it looks a lot better with everything else than the Mermaid Roof that I had.

Then I took off on my walk and found a book on the ground in front of Mitzi's. Instinctively I assumed it might be Mitzi's, but she was too concentrated on fishing for me to ask her. I ran into Wart Jr. next, and the book wasn't his. It ended up being Lolly's favorite childhood book, which makes since considering how much my dear kitty loves to read.

I stopped by Becky's to tell her I didn't get her petition signed, and she told me I could just throw the sheet away. Oh well, no remorse. After that I saw Felicity and chatted a bit with her. She wanted to come over and see my house right then so I was all for it. She gave me plenty of compliments on all of my rooms and left so I could resume my patrol where I left off.

I also had my letter from Gulliver telling me all about everything he saw in Belgium. He mentioned the "very fashionable little boy in the statue" and I immediately thought oh no... Sure enough, enclosed was a Manneken Pis, the urinating little boy. How on earth is that fashionable, Gulliver? I wanted chocolate!!
Nevertheless, I added it to my museum display room, entitled Foreign Treasure.

When I first got an item from Gulliver, I thought it would be neat to start collecting different souvenirs from all around the world in a museum room for my villagers to learn about different cultures. As the mayor, I need to be interested in foreign affairs, after all. Unfortunately, some countries have no shame.

However I am quite pleased that my display room has filled out quite nicely.

It doesn't look like I'm going to get any more items to fit, though. So I may resort to taking some items out that I didn't actually get from Gulliver, like the Genie's Lamp, Fancy Doll, and Lovely Doll. I do like them, since I imagine they can represent Arabia, Russia, and Japan. But I suppose the room won't be lacking much without them.

Also, I'd like to take a moment to complain about how TERRIBLY designed the Gaudi's Lizard is. Like, it's probably my least favorite item in the entire game. Look at how awkward he looks back there on the floor in front of the Tuk-Tuk. It's a 1x2 item that seriously deserves to be a 1x1. The back half of it doesn't even take up an entire 1x1 block, so it's like a half-wasted space that ruins the symmetry of any row you place it in. And because it's 2 spaces wide, I can't sit it on top of a table, where it really belongs. It's so short, I mean if anyone wants to look at it they have to practically sit on the ground! Ugh, I just hate it.

Anyway, rant aside, I went to work at Brewster's after dropping off the naked child. Whitney was my first customer, go figure, so I promptly prepared her usual.
Bob came in next, and aw he's a purple cat! :'D I must have him someday. Fortunately I didn't have to try hard to woo him, as he ordered a Kilimanjaro with no milk. I perfected his cup, so hopefully my amazing coffee skills might draw him to Storrs.
Mitzi was third, and I went with my inclination this time to give her the same kind of coffee that Lolly likes. Which, coincidentally, is the also the same coffee that Whitney and Becky like. Turns out, Mitzi likes it too.
Gracie was last, and of course she asked for a coffee without telling me anything else. When it wasn't to her liking, she sassed at me about making sure to "listen better" and "open my eyes, honey". Okay, well how about you TELL me something about what you like to actually listen to? Gah, perfectionists.

Fang was sitting at the bar, and he told me that he prefers three sugars in his drinks. Duly noted. He also made a statement that I believe should be the new motto of Storrs's cafe:

Amen, Fang. Keep that hipster junk outta here.
Although...I hope you don't mind if I sit down here with my laptop to update my blog.

The museum display room is rather nice. I only have a few, so far, so they're still in my house. It adds a few points, which I definitely need. Creating a dedicated space in the Museum, once I've finished with Creepy Lyle, is a good idea.

Aw, Lolly and her books. I think that's one of the reasons I love her - I'm such a bookworm, too. :D

Sounds like you're doing well at The Roost. Gracie so needs to get over herself. She isn't so special, and most of her clothing is ugly. I'd much rather wear the things the Ables make.

Aw, Fang. Does he speak from experience? That triple negative sounds like something picked up in a shop somewhere. Or a back alley. ;)

Thanks! I like Gulliver's items and didn't want to see them go to waste so that's what I came up with.

Yeah, Fang sure does seem to be tough, doesn't he. Maybe he's just putting up a front so as not to be taken advantage of in his new town. :p
