Hello, hello! It's time again for my daily slice of Storrs. I'll start with last night. I thought I'd pop in and give Felicity one last happy-birthday, and outside I stopped to talk to Deirdre.

By putting her house smack dab in front of a bridge and in the middle of a path, that's how! Nice spot, my foot. She's lucky I like her or she'd have been booted a long time ago.
At Felicity's, the party was still rocking but seemed to be ramping down for the night. Felicity admired how nice she looked and said that her outfit would totally flop if it weren't for the Citrus Tee she was wearing. So it looks like I gave her the perfect gift. However, it meant that she and Lolly are no longer twinning with the Fern Shirts. I was glad that she at least kept it to set out in her room, but today I noticed she had put it up for sale at Re-Tail. Oh well.
On my way home I noticed that Lolly was finally in her house for once. I stopped in to see if she put the Blue Table I gave her to use, and she surely did.

Her house is still a mess, but I think the table was a great addition. I'll have to mail her some more blue pieces and see if she puts them up. I really wish she would get rid of the Cactus or the Bathroom Sink, but the last time I tried to pry the former away from her she was reluctant. I saw her admiring a Turntable in Re-Tail today and convinced her to buy it, so maybe that will look nice in her house.
Now on to today. 'Twas a sunny day, so I thought I'd brave it and put on a t-shirt. I decided on my Checkered Tee, since I wasn't feeling like wearing anything too elaborate. If my blog ever gets slow and I feel like I'm running out of things to talk about, I might start including an outfit-of-the-day segment, if any of you all would care for something like that.
Straight out of the gate, I ran into Whitney and asked her what was up. She told me that she's starting a petition for Crunchier Cereal for All. I am so in. I mean, we are in the 21st century and we STILL don't have good cereal that doesn't get soggy after five minutes. What's up with that? So I agreed to get some signatures for her, and I will try my hardest not to let her down.
My mailbox was blinking so I took a moment to check its contents. I had a letter from Felicity, thanking me for coming to her birthday and giving her such a great gift. I am a "present-picking pro," she said. She gave me a Kiddie Stereo as thanks, which was rather unnecessary since her friendship alone is enough for me. But I didn't have one in my catalog, so I was happy to get it. I also had a present from Lolly, just because she wanted me to know that she really appreciates me. :')
Then I set off on my walk. I found a lost item in front of Mitzi's house, and she was home, so I figured it was probably hers. I went inside to ask and my intuition was correct, for Mitzi said it was her bag with a special recipe inside.
Over the suspension bridge behind her house, I found Wart Jr. waltzing around amongst the fruit trees. He called me over and told me that he wanted a new greeting so people wouldn't find him so intimidating. I went with the standard "Heyo", and this appeased him.
Later on down the line, I saw Fang outside for like what has to be the first time since he moved in. He called me over, and told me that I had something that he wanted. I let him buy the Red Gym Tee that Mitzi had given me, and he was very happy. He even called me 'his little Beth'. ^^ <3 Honestly, I was a little worried that he would end up being too much like Chief, but so far he's had his own characteristic mannerisms that are quite charming.
After I'd scoured my whole town and checked up on all of my friends, I sold my findings at Re-Tail and went to take my turn at the Roost. Mitzi and Buck were my first two customers, and they both like what I've begun to call "The Regular" since, like, five of my villagers like this same kind of coffee. They were pleased and said they would be back for more.
Purrl was the guest of the day, and I know one of my fellow blog buddies have a Purrl but I can't remember who. I'm sure she came from one of your towns, anyway. She ordered a Kilimanjaro with no milk, so that meant straight up no sugar as well. She told me that she was very impressed, and has only been able to find such coffee in Storrs. Take note, Purrl's mayor. x)
Phyllis was last, and despite her snarky attitude I tried to serve her correctly. I recalled the last time she was in she grumbled on about wanting no milk, so I tried a blend roast with one sugar since she was not at all impressed with a mocha with no sugar last time. She complained about the beans and said it was too sweet, so I suppose no sugar is really what she likes. Aha, I knew she had to like it bitter.
After all was said and done, I paid the loan for the new addition to Lily's house and ordered the first expansion onto the back room. I managed to trade for a Throne and a couple of Crab Clocks, thanks to the lovely people of this forum. So I spent the rest of the evening ordering some items to complete the Caucus Race room and get a start on the queen's Throne Room. Hopefully it all comes together nicely.
Lastly, I checked a present guide to see what I might want to get for Buck's birthday this Saturday. He likes sporty things, obviously, and his favorite color is brown. I have narrowed it down to either a Seven-Ball Tee or a Foosball Table. I think both are equally perfect for him, so I'm not sure which to decide. Which should I pick?
