Greetings again from Storrs. Today was rather somber, in respect to Wart Jr. on his moving day. I would get to that a little later, though, after I'd done my thorough inspection of town. First and foremost, Whitney was outside of my house. Couldn't have it any other way, now could we? She offered to have me over to visit her place at 12:30, and I eagerly agreed as I was awfully curious as to the secrets that held her home together. I would definitely be sure not to miss this appointment.
My walk was pretty quiet again today; The threat of rain hanging over town must have been keeping most of my friends inside. Lolly asked me for a piece of fruit to counteract all the key-lime pie she'd eaten recently, and I later took her a lychee. She thanked me with a Sleek Chair. After that conversation, Deirdre ran over to me and I didn't let myself get too excited. She offered to sell me the Scary Painting she had, and since I didn't have one in my museum yet I agreed. This transaction made her happy enough to whistle, as is usually the case. She's so easy to please. Next she told me that she'd ordered something for Lolly and wanted me to deliver it, even though Lolly was just right there. I agreed, and it ended up being a Frog Costume that Lolly changed into.

Nooooooo Darn you, Deirdre! *shakes fist* She looked so perfect after I'd gotten her back into her Natty Tee. Worse yet, she gave it right back to me. I guess I can try sending it back to her later on.
Anyway, I told her it looked OK and continued on with my patrol. I collected everything that didn't belong and paid a visit to Blathers. I gave him the Scary Painting I'd just acquired and it was legit! I was a little less upset with Deirdre. Had my fossils appraised and went upstairs to display the new Hula Doll Gulliver sent me from Hawaii.
After that, I returned to town to sell my daily discoveries. Outside of Re-Tail, Mitzi called me over and asked how much pear juice she should put in the creme caramel she made today. She has been awfully into cooking lately! I suggested as little as possible, and she figured that would make it great. Why do I get no rewards for these suggestions?
Next, it was time. Time to pay my final visit to Wart Jr.
It looked like he was trying to deny his emotions as much as I was.

I'll always remember you too, buddy. <3 I'll idolize your picture forever.
What am I going to miss the most about Wart Jr.? Let's see.
I'm going to miss the amazing position and landscape of his house.

(By this time it had started raining [yay!]. The sky cries for you, Wart Jr.)
I'm going to miss his activeness in town and not to mention his daily pings.
I'm going to miss his silly stories -- how he felt about the crazy fashion trends and precocious little girls of today.
All in all, I'm just going to miss a good friend.
Moving on, I made my way up to the shops. There were tons of things for my catalog today! I also made sure to buy a sapling, azalea start, fertilizer, and medicine for Chief. I took it to him first thing and he said his body started to feel warm, and he thought that meant he was getting better. I hope to see him out and about again in a couple of days.
Next I thought I would work a shift at the Roost, since it'd been a few days since I had. Becky and Lolly were my first two customers, and I easily served them The Regular. Monique came in next and told me she wanted a Kilimanjaro with no milk, and I was glad that I didn't have to scour my records for that one time she'd come in a while ago. I made sure not to add any sugar as well, and she was satisfied. Last was Phineas, and I remembered he was in just the other day and told me exactly how he liked his coffee. Kilimanjaro with lots of milk and three sugars, which he loved. I didn't get a badge, though! How disappointing.
Then it was 12:30 and time to pay a visit to Whitney. I gathered LOADS of intel on why her house is full of such random stuff.

That..explained so much. She also told me that she had her favorite instrument displayed, because "they" used to call her "Metal Guitar Whitney." She likes her Neutral Corner because you can practice arm wrestling and such things on it without scuffing your floor. Despite being a grown-up wolf, she keeps her Baby Bear because she just does NOT know what she would do without it (stated with tears). And she just loves her Floral Knit Tee, which I love that she loves since it's like, the perfect personality piece. I eventually got her to sell me her Watermelon Chair. It was either that or the Kiddie Bookcase, which I decided to let her keep since she mentioned one of her favorite books. Overall, incredibly productive visit.
Lastly, I needed to rebuild the Lighthouse that I had demolished last night. As much as I loved the Lighthouse being beside my house and thinking of myself as the light-keeper, unfortunately it never really worked out. I thought that it would look much more perfect beside the ramp down to the beach and the dock. And to my elation, I had no problems with Isabelle saying it was too close to the cliff, and it should be all done and set tomorrow!
