*grabs mic* Greetings from Storrs! Today I will be getting Life in Storrs officially back on track. Thanks to the many great people of this forum with whose help I was able to replenish my store of BTB, my blog may continue. Seriously, so much thanks to everyone who bought some items off of me or just donated BTB for the heck of it. I really, really appreciate it. <3 That said, let's get up-to-date with the happenings in Storrs.

Today is the Bug-Off, so all of my villagers were talking about that. Since that didn't lead to anything interesting, I thought today would be a good day to highlight any major occurrences over the time I wasn't updating the blog. As of now, summer is officially in full force! The hydrangeas have bloomed and the sizzling summer heat is all too apparent when I come out of my house in a raincoat the day after a rain shower.

Despite the lovely weather, town was quite sad today with the absence of my dearest Lollykins. However, I have decided to make the best of such a turn for the worst. For one thing, Lolly's house being gone frees up a section of the path to the Queen's castle I'd always wanted to landscape. As soon as Deirdre suggests the PWPs I want from her, I can send her off and have the entire pathway to the Lily's house clear to decorate up to the castle. Plus, with the success I had in earning BTB yesterday, I may just be able to get a new Lolly. It wouldn't be quite the same, I know, but at least I could have her back and (possibly) in a new spot in town. Bright sides!

Storrs also had a new resident move in today. Greta. And, ironically, she set her house in the exact same spot where Becky's was -- and Becky hasn't even been gone that long. But I love that spot and can't think of anything to do with it, so I always prefer a house being there. Considering that Greta is also a snooty, that spot must be a thing with them.

Like Chester, I don't see her fitting in our town very well, so hopefully she won't make a very long stay. But at least she and Chester could potentially be misfits together. Speaking of Chester, he has caught a cold. I've been taking him medicine just to be a nice mayor.

Buck has decided to also start calling me "Shorty." And with that, I believe all of my favorite boys are calling me that now. I simply adore it.

Storrs also had a couple of campers over the past week or two: Deena and Cranston. They were both polite and nice to spend a few moments with, but I couldn't see either of them making a good life in town.

Chester had something for me to deliver to Buck one day before he got sick, and it turned out to be Buck's Dapper Shirt. I knew for a fact that Buck never owned a Dapper Shirt, but I thought it was funny that the Dapper Shirt keeps spreading. Chief started wearing it, somehow convinced Chester to wear one too, and now Buck has one. Should be interesting to see what he decides to do with his.

I caught Fang in Re-Tail one day and got him to buy his Icy Sweater. So far I haven't noticed that he put it out in his house, but the potential is there for him to hopefully do so. Or end up giving back to me somehow, and I'll have to restart the whole process. You know, whichever happens first. :p

Oh! Also, Colton brightened my very terrible day yesterday after I discovered Lolly's departure. He had asked me to grab him a pear and I did so, for which he rewarded me with a Checkered Tile!

I almost cried. I had been needed a Checkered Tile ever since I began planning the Red Queen's throne room, which was like forever ago. Could not get my hands on one no matter how I tried so I had just given up. But leave it to Colton to surprise me with just what I wanted. ^^ <3

Also last night I found Gulliver on the beach and helped him discern that he was going to Egypt. Today I had a Mummy's Casket from him which I promptly deposited in my foreign country museum room. Interestingly enough, you can actually open the casket and store things in it...

Lastly, today Phineas was in town and I was needless to say, very excited to see him. I was curious as to what achievement I had made, and apparently I'd visited enough towns to earn the first Neighborhood Traveler badge!

That's all I have to say for now. I will try to post again tomorrow or if not then, very soon. Life in Storrs will go on. :)

Hopefully you can get Lolly back soon!

I wonder how Greta will do in Storrs. We'll just have to see! ;)

Also, congratulations on getting the checkered tile and the new badge! :)

Yay for getting the badge and the tile you wanted! I'm looking for lots of furniture right now and it's taking some time. I used to enter loads of giveaways here on the forums, but I'm especially busy this summer so I haven't gotten around to entering many, though I did win one today!

I'm looking forward to your future posts!
