Hello everyone! Time for today's bit of Life in Storrs.
While I was changing my outfit this morning, Whitney dropped in for a surprise visit. I hope she was amazed by how much there was to see.

She thanked me for my time by giving me a Sawhorse. Was she trying to tell me that my house is a wreck? I'm well aware of that, Whitney! I'll have it back to normal as soon as I'm finished with Lily's theme challenge. Plus, the Sawhorse was brand new to my catalog so I couldn't complain.
After she left, I followed her out and made sure to put up my parasol before I set off on my daily patrol of the town. I found Colton outside of the train station and he told me he was planning on moving. Fitting place for him to be and think of that, I supposed. Nevertheless, I could easily convince him to stay. I don't think I'll ever let Colton go now. ^^
Shortly after, I found a lost item behind the pond next to Horsebarn Hill. Boy, I haven't mentioned that place in a while! If you're curious, see my fourth ever blog post. Anyhow, the item turned out to be Felicity's special pouch, and she thanked me with her picture for bringing it back to her! I believe that's the third I've ever gotten from her now.
A little further along, I found Melba and she asked me to hang out with her at her place. I agreed and we set off toward her house. We chatted for a bit before she suggested that I could buy anything. It was the perfect opportunity to buy the shirt she had in the corner, but unfortunately I had JUST been to the bank...

Oh well, there's always next time. I told Melba her place is great and went about my way.
On my way back to where I left off, I found Buck outside of his house and he told me he wanted a new piece of furniture. Perfect! I was just on my way to Re-Tail, so I made sure to pick up an item I was saving for him after I sold all I'd found on patrol.

I have to say the sloppy items really suit him. And now he has three.
My reward for helping him out was a Kitchen Scale, which was new to my catalog.
I spotted Chief just below and ran down to talk to him.

Despite Buck being right over there, he asked me to make the delivery and I couldn't say no. I ran it back up to Buck and expected him to be very excited to receive two new items within two minutes. Instead, he said he'd already ordered another one and had me buy this one off of him. I opened it to reveal an Amethyst Shirt. Then I stepped back over to Chief and told him the delivery was a success. Chief said, "Buck didn't even remember leaving it?" But I thought it was a mixed up delivery? Hm...
I ran into Melba again and she wanted a peach. I picked one up for her and she gave me some Ceramic Tile in return. Then I found Fang, and he wanted the Amethyst Shirt. I knew it would look terrible either on him or in his house, but I couldn't turn him down. Fortunately he didn't put it on, so all that's left is his room, which I think would look less bad than if he had decided to wear it.
In other news, Lily had FOUR letters from the HHA this morning! Each informed her of passing a new increment, from 300,000 to 900,000. Only one more milestone to reach! And I should probably do that as soon as I can acquire all fairy tale themed exterior pieces. I just need an exterior and mailbox at this point, so it shouldn't be long!
Oh, and I haven't forgotten about the new husky statue outside of the train station either. I've been adding cedar trees and blue hydrangeas whenever I get the chance, so now it looks like this.

I think it's coming along nicely. Now I just need to landscape around the bench to the left as much as I can. I should be able to do a lot more with it once Cyrano moves out. Cross your fingers that the day comes soon!
That does it for this rendition of Life in Storrs. I wanna thank all of my fans and anyone else who reads. It's a lot more encouraging to blog when you get positive feedback. I'll see you all next time!
