Good evening, folks! I didn't post yesterday because a lot came up, so I'll combine what happened yesterday with what happened today. Not the first time, won't be the last. Here we go.
Day 463
I came out of my house yesterday looking rather pale. I wonder how much longer it will be before I get a hint of a tan? I changed my outfit to one of my absolute favorites and set off about my day. Whitney was outside and had a delivery for Melba that accidentally went to her. I agreed to correct the matter before anyone thought Whitney stole it out of Melba's mailbox and carried on with my stroll.
Felicity had an informative bit of gossip.

I swear, she is trying to start something with every boy in town. And she's taken a liking to Buck this time. Is that all she contributes to a town? Jeez.
I found Melba, who wanted something to replace her Modern Wood Bed. Her bed is perfect as it is, so I never found her anything. I handed over the delivery, which turned about to be something she forgot about and ordered another. She let me have it, and I opened the box to find a Gray Tartan Tee. But..that's what she's wearing. And she didn't order it, she got it from Buck. Why would she get another one?
Storrs also had a camper yesterday, Tipper. She was very cute. Probably the best of the cow villagers, since she looks the most like one.

Oh? I knew Whitney had to like him, but now it's unavoidable. Buck said that he was like "How are the lovebirds doing?" and they just laughed and said he didn't get it. Maybe they were just hanging out, Whitney was trying to keep from seeming like she likes him, and Colton just didn't think anything of it? This is certainly interesting.
I checked up on my HHA score to find out it's up to 994,000. Almost to 1 million! I have to unlock another house part at 1 million, right? After leaving Nook's and doing my shopping, I headed to Town Hall to talk to Isabelle about the new Illumination Arch and hold the completion ceremony.

It's perfect! I still have a lot of landscaping to do around it, planting bushes and picking out the right kind of flowers, but the placement couldn't be better.
I went back to talk to Isabelle, this time about demolishing the Fairy-Tale Streetlight that was beside of Deirdre's. It was in the way of a tree I wanted to build, and since I demolished the Lolly standee, it seemed out of place anyway.
Felicity noticed I had a Funky Dot Tank and offered me a Lychee for it. I figured it would look much better than what she was wearing if she changed into it, which to my delight she did.

Lastly, I found Sahara and paid her 3,000 bells for a new wallpaper and carpet, hoping to get an exclusive. I didn't (Backyard Fence and Opulent Rug), but the carpet actually looked kind of nice with my Rococo furniture. But I kept the tile for the HHA points.
Day 464
Colton was the first of my villagers I ran into today. He said he wrote a note of encouragement for his future self and asked if I would bury it in a time capsule. I was happy to do so, and buried it just outside of his house.
Chief wanted to replace his Sunflower, but I didn't find anything that would make a good replacement. I love his Sunflower anyway. Next door, Buck was home and informed me that Gulliver had passed out on the beach. I made sure to remember to run down there and help him later.
Outside of Buck's house, I found Melba. Colton had asked her to pick something up for him and she had forgotten to deliver it. I assured her that I could help and ran back to where I'd found Colton just moments before. He wasn't there, so I figured I would run into him eventually a bit later.
Deirdre ran up to me from the Zen Garden, and offered to sell me her Grape Tee. I bought it to make her happy, and she skipped away whistling. She does that every time we make a trade, she's so easy to please! Felicity was also nearby, and she wanted to come over to see my house. We set a time for 12pm, which I was sure I wouldn't miss.
As expected, I found Colton outside of Re-Tail at the end of my patrol. I handed him Melba's delivery, and he was elated to receive his much wanted Bear Costume. He changed into it and asked me how it looked. I had to be honest: "It's weird. You're weird."

I was glad he didn't seem offended by my curtness, but unfortunately he didn't change out of it. He rewarded me with a Common Floor, which made me feel even more awful about doing the deed.
As I do at the end of my walks every day, I plucked up my newly grown hybrids and headed to the beach to deposit them with the others. After that, I found Gulliver and woke him up with one prod. Must have been because I accidentally sprinkled him with my watering can. He told me he was going to a place with samurais and ninjas, so I figured that had to have been Japan. I was right, and he vowed to send me a souvenir. Can't wait!
On my way to Main Street to speak to Blathers about my fossils, Chief called me over and tried to sell me a Famous Painting. I would have bought it from him, but our museum already has one so I had to turn him down. I ran into Deirdre again, and she asked me to get her an ocean fish. I was planning on taking a trip the island today, so I vowed to catch her a (hopefully exotic) fish when I got there.
I made it to the museum and back to Re-Tail to sell my pickings of the day, no problem. Colton was outside and pinged at me. He was trying to figure out what color of flowers between red and yellow he liked the most, and asked me what I thought suited him best. I said somewhere between yellow and orange, which he thought wasn't quite right. Well, I didn't know.
By now, it was almost noon so I headed back home to wait on Felicity. The clock chimed twelve and she arrived, right on time. I gave her the grand tour, and she seemed to genuinely adore my place.

After she left, I went out right behind her and ran into Whitney. She wanted a fruit, didn't matter what kind, so I jogged the short way's over to next door and shook a durian down from behind her house. Ran back to her before she could get away, handed it over, and received a Denim Vest as thanks.
I found Buck beside of Fang's house, and he gave me his Lite Polka Tee for free. Then Fang came around, and he wanted to play hide-and-seek. I was all for a game, and he rounded up Buck and Whitney to play with us. I found them all in under four minutes, which has to be the fasted game of hide-and-seek I have ever played.

Then I hit up Kapp'n for a ride to the island. Went on a few tours to replenish my stash of medals and purchased a Pirate Hat for my catalog. Went fishing for Deirdre and caught a Whale Shark. I felt like she would love that. I stood around the island for a few hours while real me went on to do some other things, in hopes of getting a little sun. Can't tell that I did yet, but hey. x)
Headed back to town and found Deirdre at home. I was pleased to see that the back right corner of her room was still empty and hoped she would put her new fish there. I handed over the shark, and she was incredibly surprised to receive such a big gift.

My reward for a job-well-done was a Cabin Dresser, which was brand new to my catalog. I stepped outside to allow her a moment to set out her new pet, and I was glad to see that she did indeed put it in that far right corner. And it actually looks pretty nice. A perfect fit for my little tomboy.
With that I called it a night. I look forward to seeing what tomorrow brings, and I hope you all continue to enjoy my blog!
