While I wish there was something new to process or perhaps different characters, I'll definitely play for the new items. Once I get enough of the new items I want, I'll probably stop.

It looks like the new items are all from the seasonal order tab, from reading OP's post. So it's doubtful I will make a habit of doing Wedding Day. I hope the bells are like the bell pwp from NL where you interact to make it ring and it doesn't just ring continuously.

That is true and also you need to grind a lot of Heart Crystals to get most of the Wedding Furniture you want if you wanted to make a really good Wedding Ceremony on your island or home. Also I think there is a limit to how much you can trade with Cyrus with heart crystals. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do remember that from last year.

I just found out about it recently when I replayed the event and I was right there is a limit to how much you can trade with Cyrus so its the same as last year. Had to go back just to confirm it.

You can trade with Cyrus daily until the end of June after you finish taking a picture of the decorated set and when Reese gives you the heart crystals and yes there is a 8 item limit when Cyrus feels like you traded with him enough.

I'll be playing it again a few more times as I like using the wall decorations, plus probably will stock a few items to sell at a later date.

Are we getting any new wedding furniture this year? Like we got new Bunny Day furniture this year so maybe we can different wedding furniture? I would be kinda bummed if we got the same ole stuff as last year. I have like 10 pianos I can't even get rid of.

Yeah there's a new (small) set this time around. They're gonna be ordered from the nook shopping seasonal catalog though.

I can sympathize with the point of view of those who do wish the event would be changed more. But personally, I kind of like the repeating holidays, because I like not having to do them every year. For instance, my interest in wedding themed anything is tepid at best. I like the candles, but not many of the other items. I may play the event a couple days, since it can be fun to have an excuse to decorate at Harv’s (I’m not so creative as people like @Dunquixote, but I do have fun with it now and then), but I would find it to be a pain if I had to participate in a wedding themed event every year, because it was substantially different. I’m glad they added new items but did not tie them to the event, I like the added flexibility.

(Side-note: maybe it is just because I did not play new leaf, but I do not like Cyrus and Reese at all.)

Ah thank you! I honestly would like to see what you come up with. Your prom outfits were really creative so I am sure you are more creative than you give yourself credit for! But the most important thing is you enjoy it and not what others think (I don’t mean that in a rude way; sorry if that was weirdly worded).

I can’t say Cyrus and Reese were my favorites even though I played NL; I don’t remember them too well and only remember being able to give him ore to change the color of furniture. They annoyed me a bit tbh when I tted before prom to get some goodies (when I did it on my alts for first time).

I liked the wedding event. I might not play it as much on my first island. I can’t remember if my alt got both DIY’s. I will mainly be playing the event on my second island since that island was only created in January. I have some ideas on what I want to do with the items. I like the new items.

The furniture is nice and comes in handy. There's always someone looking to buy a pipe organ. Even a year later they are going for 25 NMT or 500K bells on Nookazon. You might be able to sell one on here for 15 TBT or so or trade it. And the tables and chairs are cute.

I was anticipating that the new wedding items would necessitate repeating the event. I'm super excited that doesn't seem like it's the case. I'll be collecting the items via shopping then! If I'm honest, I was going to partake in the events just to get the new items. I don't feel any pressing need to get more of the prizes from last year. After all, you can just TT and get a bunch anytime or usually find them for a reasonable price here on the forums.

I don't think they really incentivized second-time participation for this event, if you have everything there really isn't anything to go back for. Especially since putting the rooms together takes a bit of time, and it's pretty much an everyday thing. I'm not sure if I'll participate or not, but at the moment it just feels unnecessary. I would have loved more wedding outfits/prizes. How about flower girl dresses/outfits! Bridesmaids dresses! Groomsman suits, etc! Or different cultural wedding items from around the world, other ceremony styles to decorate for. The only things I really liked were the two or three traditional Japanese outfits they released this year. I think they totally could have done better now that they have the mechanics for the event. No shade, but it's kinda lazy imo.

I just played the first day and literally nothing changed from last year. At least Reese and Cyrus remember you so it's not completely robotic. I'm guessing the "new twist" are the Shopping items. I'll play the first week or so and then move on.

Honestly I'm more bothered that Reese and Cyrus are now repetitive cameo characters once a year. They could easily have made them have a shop or SOME service on the island (or Harv's island) where Cyrus customized the furniture that we can't, but of course not because that would be pro-consumer and take away from the "MuLtIpLaYeR and TrAdInG!! online subscription available now!!!" agenda. Just another month as an AC fan it seems.

I'll play the event again. For the laughs, I'll probably just spam furniture and take a couple of photos to make the room an absolute mess lol. I wasn't expecting any major differences for this event, so I'm not really bothered as to how similar it is from last year.

Played first day today and love the new bell, it’s so cute! No idea where to put it but will use soomewhere. I did the photo shoot by just filling the room with the furniture. No thought whatsoever and just put down items until I couldn’t fit any more in. I was given 15 crystals which I thought good for no effort.

Might get a few candles as they are pretty and maybe some clothes. Easy but not particularly fun.
