I recently posted on a thread that was asking if anyone still played Happy Home Designer anymore and after saying that, no I do not play this game anymore, I also explained this:

"...sometimes I would use the game (happy home designer) to plan out rooms for my new leaf town. like I would just accept someone's request and then make their house the big room option, and then just use the space to put together and plan new ideas. I would then save in the middle of the "request" so I could go back to my design or use it as another empty room template. does this make sense? I thought it was pretty revolutionary of me to do. definitely saved me a lot of time and money in new leaf because I no longer had to buy a bunch of items and "hope" that they go well together and could instead play around with the items directly to see if I liked it or not. the only downside was that HHD didn't offer all the same items that new leaf did (or at least I never got to the point where all the items were unlocked)"

like I said, I thought this was pretty "big brain" of me, and I was just curious if any of you guys also had this cool idea.

Guilty as charge. I of course did because I wasn't that good of putting houses together with a good theme around it.

i always do this. it's also a great way to test out qr codes/designs so you don't clutter up your on saved ones in game and you can still see how they look on the item/floor(do the rug option otherwise it'll look real grainy for some reason with some but look fine in NL.).

im glad yall also discovered this neat trick. kinda felt like cheating but in a good way ya kno

i never did since i never played hhd lol but i know a lot of people who’ve done this!
