Did anyone noticed this yet?

yeah, but our official language is english. and only english. so there probably won't be any spanish versions for the states. not sure what their gonna do for canada, who's official language is french and english.

New Mexico's official language actually is Spanish. :)

>_>
I swear, people on these forums are too easily pissed off by change.

ACC is still raging about it all too. It's just that people keep bringing it back to the surface.

I don't care, it looks funny but I'm only going to go there to sell stuff/customise furniture. :3

If Europe get a sign that doesn't say anything in any language I will be p***ed

What, would you rather Nintendo waste tons of money to make special box art specifically for each language and distribute those based on an estimation of how many people in each European country would be likely to buy it? From what I've been told, European games usually have multiple languages put into them. Probably so they don't have to do that sort of thing. Jibberish is the best way to handle this sort of situation.

Do you really care that much about a sign? |:

Japan: R-Parkers
NA: Re-tail
EU: R∩ㅓI]ㅓ4

...PERFECT!

lol. I love how they put some gibberish up for the EU one. I don't really care as long as I can still go there and sell stuff, make unique furniture etc. oh and that they still have the cute llamas in there as well... no cute lamas and I will be reaching for a weapon...

Ooooh, may I suggest the red hammer (can you tell I'm looking forward to that one?!)

I like that the sign is blurred and I hope it is in game too. We can call it whatever the heck we like then. All the people complaining about the name can stop, at least!

Most of these small things I doubt anyone would usually care about but after 3 years of waiting I think some of us may be starting to go a little cray cray. :3
I would like it if the sign didn't say an actual word on it so then I can call it R.Parkers ha. Re-tail isn't bad but I just think the Japanese name is super cute.

Of course they'll have the llamas. They're the NPCs that were designed for the store... they wouldn't change the game that much.

Yeah, I do actually.. If I started playing with new players who are new to the series, they would be all like "I'm in that shop with the lamas" or "Lets go to that shop with the pink door and the sign with no word on it"
And I don't really care what Nintendo do with their money as long as the price stays the same for us.

If you check the language section in the settings for your 3DS, you'll find that the North American version (although I think I would just call it American Continents, since it includes South America in the releases) you would find that you can change the language to French, Spanish, or Portuguese in addition to English. I assume games would change for whatever language you have your system set to.

*facepalm* My point is that the price WOULDN'T stay the same for you. The more money they have to spend on little things like boxing the games and things like that, the more likely it is they are to make the game cost a little more for you to buy it. That's usually why digital downloads are supposed to be cheaper than buying retail, because the publishers aren't spending money on plastic cases and all the paper used in their construction.

Also it's pretty nit-picky of you to get upset just because they're catering to a wider audience and many languages. The fact you get angry over the sign being in gibberish makes me believe you'd be upset if the sign read as the name of the store in a language that wasn't your own. That's the kind of thing they want to avoid. Like someone who speaks English being upset that their box has the German version store's name on it. If you can get upset over gibberish, someone can and will get upset over an actual language that isn't their own.

On that vein, wouldn't festivals also change based on what language you have? I remember the Iwata asks mentioning the 12 grapes thing for Spanish players.

You know, if they did that, they'd change the price based on the demographics.

I think instead of gibberish, they should have made the European sign in the Hyrulean language from Legend of Zelda. It'd look gibberish to those who wouldn't recognize it, but it'd be a nice Easter egg for those of us who know what it says.
