Did EVERYONE get an Uchi and a Jock?

Looking over what people have gotten, EVERY SINGLE ONE seems to be an Uchi and Jock to start with. Is this true?

Genji, is one of my favs due to his furniture sets and design. I hope you get them!

i really hope i get either Teddy, Bud, Samson or Genji for jock, and for uchi... just Shari. Reneigh would be cool too lol but i just don't have any favorite uchis

That's awesome! Genji is one of my favorites and I have recently started to really like Katt. Another Uchi I like is Muffy I had her in New Leaf, but I would like to have Katt this time around.

I too would prefer not to scan in amiibos, at least not until some time has passed.

I thought I got two guys, but it turns out Katt is a girl, haha. I got her and Kevin.

As for why Uchi and Jock, I have a theory - the two starters have some unique dialogue for the tutorial, so maybe they didn't want to write a version of tutorial dialogue for every possible personality option? lol

My guess would be because their specific personality types seem moat likely to go off to a deserted island trip?

I got Mira and Mac! I would’ve preferred a different Jock but I got the native fruit I wanted and a pretty nice island layout so I didn’t feel like resetting for different villagers lol.
