Did HHP give you any new appreciation for certain villagers?

For example, I’m kind of obsessed with Bianca now because I made her my chef and visit her all the time for recipes and she’s really grown on me. It doesn’t make her a dreamy, but I couldn’t imagine anyone else as my chef!

With so many villagers in existence HHP really allowed more of them to be displayed than I regularly acknowledge as existing, you know?

Well it did give me new appreciation for Francine and Chrissy since. when Francine first asked her Vacation home she wanted to have "Chrissy's Photo" in her theme, which really made me feel like the two with meant for each other. I have to admit I wasn't into their song "BubbleGum K.K" but it grown on me and I had to make Chrissy and Francine Roommates and I made a new theme called "Cute Pink/Blue Manor".

I find it funny how they act like they don't know each other, but yeah I know they were meant to be together.

Yes, the octopus Marina! She's so cute! I have Octavian on my island and am a big fan of him and now that I've designed a home for Marina I kind of want to move her onto my island someday

Meeting villagers I don't usually interact with has been really great in HHP! I met Bertha for the first time, and she is so sweet and lovely! It also gave me more appreciation for the different personality types, because I don't usually choose snooty, lazy, or smug villagers, but I've met a lot of great villagers with those personality types.

yes! i’ve mainly been designing vacation homes that i’ve yet to have on my island and don’t really care for, and i’ve found that it’s softened me up to them a bit! this is especially prominent in my feelings about chester. i’ve already talked about this in another thread, but he’s really grown on me. i’m not sure if it’s because i also really like the home i designed for him or because i thought his reactions to it were cute, but he’s pretty adorable! he’s even the teacher at my hhp school right now, though that’s mainly because i didn’t have many other villagers to choose from at the time aha. i likely would’ve never invited him to my island before hhp, but now i’m not opposed to the idea at all!

I don’t have HHP, but I’m almost certain it would. I’d get to see a new side to their personalities. I love the little details that some of the characters have. I think my favorite “little detail” is Nan having Chevre’s picture in her home, and Chevre also having Nan’s picture. I think each villager requesting a specific thing they want for their home will make you see them in a brand new light. All of my islanders were already decided based on color scheme and species so they don’t be changing, however, I wouldn’t mind designing a home for any villager. It’s similar to how I love seeing campers. Although my villagers never change, that one campsite villager does and it makes me happy to see who decided to visit.

HHP allowed me to have first impressions on villagers I never met before. So it's a nice "villager catalog" of sorts. I actually get to see them personally instead of just screenshots and videos online.

For example, I've always ignored Lionel. But after his majestic request, I actually had a better opinion of him. Then there's Naomi... I still don't like her design, especially now that I've seen her up close.

I feel like it's given me more appreciation for the NPC's than it has the villagers. In every other game Lottie has been in, I've never really felt like she had much definition. But she, and the rest of the HHP crew, feel much more organic and fleshed out. So I tend to enjoy the bits of interactivity when you reach a HHP milestone.

I guess if there's one villager that I have begun to appreciate more, it would probably be Eloise. She was one of my main camp visitors in Pocket Camp, but I really grew to enjoy her bookish personality in HHP, and she's currently the teacher at the HHP school. I really enjoy having her in that position.

Yes, Gabi has really grown on me quite a bit since I designed her a house a while back. I didn't realise how cute she is :3 I will probably have her invited to my island at some point since I think I have her amiibo card.

I don't care for that many of the rabbits, so it's nice to find a new appreciation for another one.

It didn't really give me appreciation for anyone in specific. I just love that with doing a certain amount of designs, it taught you how to do stuff with your own house. I also loved all the stuff people wanted in their home and the different themes they liked. It helped me explore different styles that I normally wouldn't have picked but still appreciated.

I love getting a chance to meet new villagers and to see former villagers on the vacation island.

It did, actually! I didn't think much of Purrl until I saw her on the beach. She's such a cutie and I want her on my island now (if I didn't already have a snooty). Since she also looks like a calico, she reminds me of my cat Caramel. <3
