I intended not to at first, and I haven't TTed just to progress in past games... but the start was just so unbearably slow at times I traveled a few days to open town hall (and before that, one day to open museum as I didn't expect it to be closed one more day) Plus I had long gotten sick of the same tutorial music (what's the point of locking hourly music beyond town hall building anyway?) However, from now on I'm just gonna enjoy it day by day, while, say, terraforming looks cool I'm in no rush to unlock it.

I said I wasn't going to but I have. I have had a lot of time on my hands and grinding in this game is a lot harder than NL. This game has more of what I like, which is decorating and changing my character up, so I want to progress faster to unlock the things that matter to me the most.
I am getting annoyed with having to constantly craft tools and if terraforming is going to cost a ton of bells I won't get much done, if I didn't have all this time on my hands I wouldn't progress much at all.
I have TT'd in every game and it did get boring to me, but this game is different, I feel like there is so much more to do once things are unlocked. I love that we can decorate outdoors, I can change things up as often as I want, I don't see myself getting bored of that any time soon.

I time-traveled to unlock the Resident Services building, but now I'm taking it day by day in real time. I really just wanted that hourly music unlocked!

I haven't yet and don't plan to either, at least for now. I admit it's certainly fun for a while to be able to do more of whatever it is you enjoy doing in the game in a single RL day, but my experience in the past has been that it's all too easy to start playing too much and get obsessive if you can always make it so that there's more and more stuff to do in a day. Then it's not only not fun but also not good for me anymore. :p That, and i want to try a different way of playing anyway! Maybe if i'll get bored i will go back to doing some TTing but for now, i think taking it slow and making every day special will be more enjoyable.

I was close to TT-ing today but then I realized I bought turnips so ...

Said I wouldn't, haven't and will not in the future (unless I go back in time because I missed an event)

I'm honestly surprised by how many people have been saying the game moves slowly, or that they run out of things to do. It might have to do with my playstyle (or the focus I put on planning/decorating) but for me there's almost TOO MUCH to do each day haha

I don't mind waiting a week to get buildings unlocked, and would much rather take my time placing them one-by-one. My plan was to have the Island "wild" and rough it up for at least a few days anyway, so the development schedule works perfectly. Since there don't seem to be that many new buildings coming up from what I've heard, I really don't want to rush the few there are and then have nothing to look forward to.

Island Tours to find animals I like, visiting/hosting friends, daily chores and earning miles has kept me non-stop busy since Friday!

Trying reeeealy hard not to

I knew that I would and I have without regrets. I've always played Animal Crossing that way. Every person enjoys Animal Crossing a different way - their way. That's what makes the game in itself so wonderful.

While I have time traveled and am likely far, far beyond others taking their time and playing at the default pace, I'm still enjoying it. Because now that I'm happy with the way things look and can tolerate moving around my island with less interference, I can now focus on things like the museum and catching bugs or looking forward to seeing what's new in the shops each day.

I always go hard at start so that I can enjoy all the features the game has to offer - and then take my time to enjoy those things fully and creatively on my own pace without tools and other absolute essentials being locked behind a time wall.

I told myself I wouldn't TT but I have played late at night (like midnight) and turned back the clock a few hours so I can still go to the shop. I don't count that as *really* TTing, though.

I haven't TT'd this early in the game release because I love seeing what everyone comes up with on their new islands, and it feels like we're all part of this new experience together. I like getting excited to see what my island has in store for me the next day in real time. It's satisfying and rewarding :)
