I have not pre-ordered and I do not plan to unless there is a really good reason to. I'm planning on buying digitally.

Some sites like Amazon likely have it up for pre-order already, but sometimes eCommerce sites will cancel or change your pre-order in a way you don't want before the game is released. I think it's best to wait.

Ah, ok. I have been waiting for it to show up on the Nintendo site. I am torn between getting the cartridge or digital. I usually prefer having a physical copy but lately I have been buying digital instead.

I have a physical copy pre-ordered on Best Buy for collection purposes.

I have $70 worth of eshop cards stashed in my room somewhere for when the pre-load goes live next year, which will be the version that I will actually play.

I don't think I've ever preorder a game. Usually It's too much money. Maybe I will, though. If so I'll do the physical copy. ☆

I usually don't pre-order games until enough reviews are out pointing out both the good and the negatives of it and I can see some of the gameplay footage for myself. I love Animal Crossing, but I try to not buy any game on a whim anymore after a lot of past disappointments.

On the other hand, I *might* cave in if it comes in a nice collectible box like Heartgold and Soul Silver did or it comes packaged with an item I'd really like.

WILDWORLD: “ nah! i'll probably get it in a few years. new things make me very nervous and i tend to avoid them until i can slowly learn about them. too much new stuff overwhelms me.”

Totally get this. I will probably accumulate knowledge about it over time so that I can play it with background knowledge and hopefully an abundance of tips and tricks that have been learnt over time. Also, it’s just to expensive for me to buy a game and switch so hopefully it will become more affordable over the years. Even the lite is pricey for so much less.

Not yet! I'm waiting to see if an exclusive themed switch comes out along with animal crossing. If so, then yeah I will most likely pre-order! I've only ever pre-ordered a game once before in my life and that was Pokemon Black all the way back in 2010 hahaha

Just a casual Animal Crossing player, aye?

i didn't preorder but i'll definitely be getting the physical, since i've had problems with digital downloads in the past!

Been thinking about this some more, and why would you have pre-ordered a digital code this early? Nintendo doesn't even have it for sale yet, and when they do you'll be able to pre-order and pre-download just fine. It's not like there's a limited quantity of digital copies. I doubt there would be a shortage of physical copies either, but I guess that is possible. Pre-ordering this early on through a third party before we know the price or anything is just iffy.

I pre-ordered the physical copy on Amazon a couple of days ago. I'm really excited for this game!

I haven't pre-ordered yet. I'll do so once it's available on the eShop.

I want the physical copy but don't like pre-ordering games, and I've had some luck getting games a few days earlier from stores stocking them as soon as they get the shipment instead of on the actual release date, so I'll be trying that again this time. Plus, I just don't like downloading games when I have the option not to.

probably gonna order digital on the switch and pre load it and wake up at 5am and play
I don’t want to wait any longer than I have to.

I?m waiting for the inevitable special console to be announced and will preorder it. In the event that they don?t release one I?ll preorder a physical copy closer to release date.

i agree with this too lol
i haven't preordered yet, but when i do i think ill go for a physical bundle if it gets released
i usually love having digital so i can always have it on my switch or ds but i think a physical copy would be nice so i can have the box art and all that fun stuff

I have not preordered it yet. I'll definitely be able to get a copy as gaming doesn't seem to be huge in my city. If not, I can either get a digital copy or just wait a day or two. I won't die lmao.

Pre-ordering isn't available for me yet but I do plan to pre-order the physical copy!

Going to wait until it gets closer to pre-order it. Give me time to recover my finances from working on my house and moving, lol.

I didn't preorder Animal Crossing: New Horizons yet. With GameStop tethering on the brink of insolvability (EB Games in Canada), I won't preorder it before March of next year. I don't want them to go under with any money I'll have thrown at them to do so.
