Possibly a 10-villager limit again?

Ugh I will be kinda sad if there is a 10 villager limit again. I want 15 like in gamecube.

I hope there's more than 10 also, 15 would be perfect. Heck, I'll even take 12. The island is big enough for more than 10, especially for people who aren't having 8 players on it. It'll feel really empty if we have only 10.

A friend of mine hoped we could frame and put up the photos we take, so we could have our group of friends on the wall and I thought that that's a super adorable idea ;_;

I hope we have Luna and the Dream Suite back, that was one of the best features of New Leaf, I loved visiting people's towns and getting inspired by what they had created.

that would be super cute! and i really hope the dream suite is back, also.

I'm curious about the grayed out shovel, and whether or not we can play ping pong with other villagers (animal or human).

I'm too lazy to take screenshots, but here's some things I noticed last night that I posted in another thread. I haven't seen anyone else really talk about it.

Something I noticed at 5:41 on the Direct: we get a TON more pattern spots compared to New Leaf. I can see at least 30 slots, but there's also a scroll bar so there's obviously more than that.

Looks like stationary for sending letters can be time limited, per 6:53. There's some spring and Easter stuff that looks like it phases out in May. It makes sense, but is interesting.

Good.

It's more than enough. :)

I think more than 10 would be nice too, but I'm leaning more towards 12 than 15.

I've mentioned my concern with overcrowding in another thread - I don't know how big the island is and whether the island can fit so much stuff. :/ Assuming that Nintendo takes into account that there are 10 villagers minimum, over 5 buildings or vendors, 8 player houses, and outdoor items/projects, this could take up a lot of space. Nintendo probably anticipated that players wanted more customization and decoration functions (e.g. option to place stuff outdoors) and I think many people will utilize the 8 houses to create their ideas (e.g. school, hospital, cafe)

Also assuming Nintendo keeps all 383 villagers (from NL and welcome amiibo) and adds new villagers, there will be a larger villager pool which may make it harder for some people (me lol) to narrow down their dreamies

I'm looking forward to finding out how this works though!!

I did not notice those! I'm particularly excited about having more pattern spots because I liked alternating between a lot of custom designs haha

I think cause there?s the star next to the shovel maybe it?s for a better quality shovel we can centrally craft? One of the first trailers showed tools being broken at first cause they were flimsy!

Also I believe it?s a handheld fan in the tool loop, not a ping pong paddle. Unless you mean on the actual ping pong table item! That would be cute!

You'd think they'd just replace the regular shovel with the upgraded variety. And it really does look like a ping pong paddle. In the Direct, it showed that you could exchange Nook Miles for a ping pong paddle, so perhaps that's an in-game activity. I'd sink way too many hours into that if it were playable. Another thing I noticed was a putting green in the Nook tent. That too may very well be playable.

I think that?s to favorite tools as I see no watering can favorited in the ring (and I?m so excited that the fan is making a comeback after all these years, I actually liked this item when I played PG, so it?s nice to see it)

when Celeste mentioned the 'magic wand' in that you have the ability to cycle through your outfits, the shovel and star is just an icon representing the tools (as a menu ?) you can cycle through
just a guess though

In the direct they showed a couple pwp ceremonies for bridges and there was only 9 villagers so I’m scared

At least that’s more then what we get in nl where only 4 show up in total out of ten

It’s a fan, you can see the player fanning herself with it at one point. It DOES look like a paddle, but that’s just what cheap fans in Asia look like from my experience c:

Just watched the Direct for the 12th time, and darn it, you're right. I wanted to play ping pong :(

I'm not entirely too upset if it ends up being 10 again, however I'd definitely like it to be 12. But, I'd not be surprised if it was 10 again.

I'm feeling pretty hopeful about the windows/curtains/blinds feature! This was introduced in HHD, so I'm hoping it crosses over

One house seems to have blinds and another one seems to have curtains. Also I've seen different items (e.g. diff types of wreaths) hanging on villager's doors so possible door customization? :D It'd be cool to be able to use QR codes for those features as well

They look so much better this time.
Still a little too low, but much better!
