I swabbed my cat's butt as part of an experiment in community college.

Nothing grew on the agar plate, but it could be the bacteria needed more nutrients or a warmer incubation temperature.

Of course, it came back to haunt me, because my biology professor mentioned it when he was presenting an award to me during the student honors ceremony the college had every year.
