We got Banjo and The Hero revealed at E3 for DLC fighters in Smash, but are there any characters that you would personally love to see in SSBU?

Although it's a 99% chance they'll never be a fighter, I would love to see Shantae! But I would love to see another female fighter included in Smash in general because the more waifus the better. /O\

Banjo basically was THE character I wanted alongside Shantae, so, hopefully her next.

Honestly, I'm clueless to who the next DLC fighters will be with Banjo and the Hero being revealed. They're THE franchises that the West and East wanted in Smash and they've already been revealed, I would have imagined those two would be the last two to be revealed. Even if we got Shantae, I would be less blown away now Banjo is here. Best till last and all that.

Agreed. I honestly love how they catered to both the West and East. People were so confused as to why the put The Hero in at first, but Dragon Quest is a pretty popular series in Japan ^.^ I'm super excited for the last two fighters!

P.S. You joined TBT on my birthday haha

Here is a short list that could work as clones or stand alones:
Dixie Kong
Goemon (Mystical Ninja series)
Klonoa
Conker
Cuphead
Alexandra Roivas (Eternal Darkness)

I would like to see Crash Bandicoot as the next DLC fighter, but I'm not sure how high the chances
are to get him in.

I dunno. I see a lot of requests for him and he's not been a Sony exclusive character for a long time now.

I also think he would make for a rather fitting Smash character. Aesthetically he fits in among all the 'animal characters' like the Pokemon, Banjo and Duck Hunt. He has also has enough basic moves as well as other skills you unlock in each game to put a moveset together...Hopefully one that doesn't all look pretty much the same like Sonic. Could even have an alternate skin of Coco.

I don't think it's likely, but I also don't think Crash is entirely implausible either. Maybe the last two slots could be a Western and Eastern requested character (hoping for that Monster Hunter to satisfy the East...Hopefully with each costume being a different gear set).

With how the picks have been going and how so many widely wanted characters throughout smash's history have been brought to life... I don't see DLC ending without Geno being included... and I can't wait for it

Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon, please.

Also Mario Kart Villager too, I see him as the echo to villager.

(Yes, he's not going to be in the DLC, as only video game franchises that have NOT been in Smash Bros will be in the DLC pack. But there has been rumors of more DLC after the DLC characters been revealed, so he still has a chance.)

The only character I really would like to see after they've revealed Hero from Dragon Quest XI and Banjo & Kazooie is Arle Nadja from Puyo Puyo. While the franchise has only recently shown up again in the west through Puyo Puyo Tetris in 2017 and last month with Puyo Puyo Champions I think she deserves a spot as the games are huge in Japan.

Puyo Puyo is a very big esport in Japan and the franchise as seen almost yearly releases there. Meanwhile in the west Puyo Puyo Champions is actually the first standalone Puyo Puyo game in over fifteen years! The fanbase is growing here too however and hopefully Nintendo noticed. Also Puyo Puyo is a SEGA franchise, and since Sonic is already in the game it should be easy to arrange when it comes to the rights and all that good stuff.

If she doesn't make it in now then I'm sure it will happen in a future title. Someday...

I'm actually familiar with Puyo Puyo! I played Puyo Pop Fever a lot when I was younger and that was the start of it~ It would be nice to include something from that franchise~

Kirby character never gonna happen ): or Geno who should be last

Exactly. Everyone has wanted him in for years. Let?s end this Smash Ultimate roster with a bang! (Pun intended)

It would honestly be so cool to see these guys

I know there's no chance for them but I can imagine multiple movesets and stages that would be completely unique and fun. They could be different skins of each other like Bowser Jr's family

Is that Super Monkey Ball- I haven't seen that game in forever aljadfskbf that would be a funny/cute addition.

So we've seen

-Joker from Persona which is a very playstation related series, so I don't know if we will see another playstation forward character
-Hero from Dragon quest which is a square enix rep, more associated with nintendo than the rest of the ones seen and associated with new releases on nintendo platforms
-Banjo Kazooie which is a microsoft rep and very sought after as far as smash history goes

I think we can count out any microsoft forward reps, because none are as important as banjo kazooie and would be drastically overshadowed. Doesn't make sense why they would do banjo first then someone else.

Crash definitely has the history to get a spot, but why release the insane trilogy and crash racing first then do it. I feel like they would've been together to promote each other.

And in response to some of the people here:
Mario kart villager is not gonna happen as
1. Echo of villager - because it would need to be kart forward, and that doesn't work with Villager's moveset.
2. New character - because why have a villager on a kart when we have villager. Given the theme is long sought after characters or surprising picks from other titles, I think that would still sort of follow in anymore DLC and this would be an extremely strange and unfortunate choice.

Puyo-Puyo girl I can't imagine as a fighter or like a moveset being formed. Yes its been done before, but still this just would feel like a strange choice. Puyo Puyo doesn't have the same fame or ring as the other franchises. Dragon quest was really stretching and catering to japanese fans, so I don't see them really doing that again. I think any new series they go into is going to be widely acclaimed in both audiences, or maybe looking towards the European fans.

Super monkey ball- they are owned by sega and I think a new sega rep outside of sonic may be plausible. This is a long dead series, but if anything is in store for nintendo with it then maybe.
If there is another sega rep in store i want ecco the dolphin to do some weird alien stuff lol (total joke that will never happen)

I don't think any leaks have gotten banjo, dragon quest, and joker all correct so its hard to say. I heard ryu hyabusa from ninja gaiden is rumored, which doesn't feel too out there, but idk it feels weird. I'll give it a nod over the other ones we had. The newbies are coming from series that haven't been represented before. I think were in for one more surprise 3rd party and then a nintendo forward rep to close it out. Geno from Super Mario RPG fits that category for sure, even if you try to say like "its mario" nintendo pulls this bs a lot where even though its mario its a "new series." Nintendo likes to capitalize on its own "new thing" so if more nintendo labor is in store I could see that coming up. Rhythm Heaven is the other most likely series that hasn't been represented, I couldn't think of any other really major one that isn't already used.

So thats my take on DLC with Banjo and Dragon Quest now known. A surprise third party from another developer maybe more playstation forward if anything, but not totally sold on that. And then one last one from a nintendo forward series, if Geno isn't in this spot then it better be someone good! Also in a nod for geno none of the other DLC characters I would type as a "shooter" type fighter or zoner playstyle, and geno would fit perfectly. We have seen quick ninja-y quick character with joker(yes he has a gun but i wouldn't classify him as a shooter just like bayonetta), swordsman with DQ, and a brawler with banjo. So a heavy (although banjo might be considered on the heavy side) and a shooter would balance this well. Also I feel like the new characters are almost like mixtures of assets from characters already in the game and geno could bring aspects of samus and mii gunner.

Oh, one last though... the DLC characters so far are from long standing series Persona was on 5, Dragon quest duh, banjo was from forever ago. I think the 4th new DLC will come from a newer game or newer series, and then again the last one will be a big deal and will be geno, which is from a series long ago.

This is really just wishful thinking more than anything, but I'd legit lose my **** if Monokuma from Danganronpa was revealed. It's most likely not happening, since Danganronpa is definitely more obscure and not as relevant to gaming as the other DLC picks so far have been, but Joker's inclusion (being a character mostly associated with Sony since all the main series Persona games have been Sony exclusive, which is similar to how Danganronpa has only ever gotten releases on Sony platforms and PC) gave me hope, and Banjo and Kazooie's inclusion (which proves that even a dead franchise can get a DLC rep) gave me even more hope, plus I'm not sure how true this is but apparently Sakurai is a fan of the Danganronpa games. So maybe, just maybe it can happen if the stars align right.

I love Danganronpa sm. Monokuma would be a hilarious addition; I can see his smash attack being an execution too.

Yeah, I have a feeling his final smash would be an execution. Maybe his other moves could be closely linked to executions that happen throughout the series as well?
I feel like Mukuro's execution via spears could make for a perfect forward smash, for instance.
