Nintendo has stated that there will be downloadable content for the game. This will be in the form of new items, clothes etc., but nothing has yet been confirmed.

An interview in Nintendo Power confirmed that there will be downloadable content for the game, and it will be completely free. It was mentioned that it'd include new furniture and clothes that currently aren't available.
