What i mean is, when coming from other player islands after trading... Do they mention his old Islands like in New Leaf when they start living in yours?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, Tangy moved to my sister's island from mine and she occasionally brings me up, also she remembers me when I speak to her.

Oh, then i think i keep hunting for Sterling. I just don't want him to mention his old home.

Thank you so much for your help.

Yeah it usually happens when you allow the plot on your island to autofill and they will sometimes mention the island where they were from.

I haven't had any of my villagers mention their old homes the way they did NL, so if they do it's very minor, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

I think they do remember you if they move to a new island and you visit them there.

Even if they do isn’t there a way to kinda like wipe their memories of all that? i thought you could in New Leaf, im not sure about NH tho. I adopted Coach in NL from my bf so i thought it was cute when he brought him up, but i can understand how that would be annoying.

Yeah it can be annoying when the villager won't stop mentioning the player's name. Like one time when I was doing a trade last year and my villagers won't stop talking about the player who showed up on the island. Its important to note that the player who came to my island did not interact with them which was unusual because they would have to know who the player character's name was if they were to interact with each other. Not sure if that is a bug or glitch.

This is a pretty common myth that not interacting with villagers causes them to not mention you later if you're a visitor to an island. It was like that in New Leaf as well, but most people had rules against talking to their villagers anyhow.

Villagers are all knowing beings who know exactly who came to your island no matter what. And they will talk about it. I think after a certain point they stop talking about visitors, or at least mention it far, far less.

But yes, villagers remember the islands they're from and will talk about them a lot. Still unsure how they stop talking abt it or if they do it less (ive noticed less and less over time myself)

In my experience, it's not like New Leaf. In New Horizons villagers mention the island they came from exactly once, when you first talk to them after they move in. Then they never talk about it again.

And villagers mention visitors exactly once after your visitor leaves, whether the visitor talked to them or not.

So if your concern is that they'll keep talking about other people, in my experience, that won't happen after the one time.

But, again, that's just my experience. Maybe it's different for other people.
