i think it is really weird to think about what life might be like on other planets. scientists are looking for planets that are similar to ours because that's the only known place in the universe where life exists but, like, for all we know alien species might not need water or whatever to live and maybe some aliens lifeforms arent at all like life is on earth. i guess it depends on how you define "life" and if we're talking about biological fleshy stuff then looking for water and ok temperatures and all that stuff that life on earth needs in order to survive is great but what if there's a sentient rock out there somewhere that uses solar energy or something

The science fiction depictions in Cinema are probably far from what ET's are truly like, I believe there is some possibility of ET's existing as we have already discovered many foreign organisms in the past albeit they didn't provide as much answers as we expected or wanted.

Alien Are Real

Put it this way: (hold on, we're doing some math)
Let's say there are on average 8 planets in each solar system.
In each galaxy, there are on average 100 billion stars. That's 800 billion planets per galaxy.
There's estimated to be 200 billion galaxies. That ends up being at LEAST 160 TRILLION planets in our universe.
And Earth is the only one, the ONLY ONE to develop the correct conditions to inhabit life, intelligent or otherwise?
Yeah, right. Those odds make sense.
We're either one of a billion inhabitable planets or alone in a hundred-trillion. And I know which option sounds scarier to me.

I think people are just too obsessed with the idea of "deity" aliens. Little green men with big, black eyes who have had huge technological breakthroughs.

When people lower their expectations, they may find that the most fascinating of alien life is right here on Earth.

Of course I believe in aliens. I think it's pretty self-centred to think that earth is the only planet that supports life. Even if aliens aren't exactly how we depict them in movies and stuff, they have to exist.

Like LillyofVadness said, 160 trillion planets, there HAS to be other life, it's almost impossible for there not to be. That's proof right there. But there still might not be aliens, it's just a VERY low possibility. But there also might be other universes so if there is there's probably a whole bunch and probably another me and/or you and everyone else, doing the same exact thing right now.

yes. t'would be illogical not too, considering the size of the universe. and it could be another intelligent species or even something as small as bacteria. extraterrestrial life is extraterrestrial life.
