do you collect a bunch of the same collectible?

I know it might be common for members to have multiples of cheaper collectibles, even I do. but I'm more interested in those who intentionally collect multiples of collectibles which are more sought-after.

for instance, I am the proud owner of nine planet wands. NINE OF THEM. I should get a tenth one at some point haha but yeah, the planet wand is one of my all time favourite collectibles, so when it was released I made it a point to obtain as many of them as possible. they fit pretty nicely with my heart wand in a full lineup!

this probably counts as well, but I'm working on collecting a full lineup of black roses so that I can try for the gold rose during the next hybrid week

do you have a specific collectible that you go out of your way to collect multiples of? I can think of a few members who do hehehe (panda w her master balls fr)

I only do this with apples. I’m not too keen of having multiple collectibles of the same kind, but it makes sense that I have more than one apple since my account is all about apples.

Sometimes, but no more than 5. Like I have 5 bees right now, but I'm selling four because I feel like there are enough of variety of collectibles that I like that I feel like I can make line ups without as much repetition now. Especially with the scenery collectibles being a thing now.

i will for lineup purposes, but i've never done a full ten of the same thing and wouldn't really want to. the closest i have is ten alternating blue and cyan bunny balloons, though i don't think i've ever displayed all ten at once. i prefer rows of five identical collectibles, and i do have a few intentional ones: kitty ice-creams, purple roses, and pink sakuras before they became common with the recent event lol. i generally prefer alternating lineups, so there are plenty of other collectibles i have several but not five of, like lucky clovers, shadow and ghostly kitty plushes, moon bunnies and love letters.

I’ve only done that once, and it was the only time I ever had a lineup on this site. Not sure if anyone remembers, but there was a time I had ten Lobo’s on my sidebar. Eventually, I sold them, but it was fun while it lasted.

I applaud those who’ve managed to get multiple of the same sought-after collectibles. I can’t imagine doing it with any of the wands.

I do! Obviously the dynamics of this have changed a bit for me since becoming a staff member, but as a regular member, I ended up getting a full lineup of both Dino Plushies and Red Star Fragments! I have always tried to aim for full rows for a lot of collectibles, primarily those that are red, so I ended up with a full row of Bloodshot Potions, Famous Mushrooms, Hot Cocoas, Lump of Coals, Rafflesias, Red Balloons, Red Candies, Red Feathers, Red Flowers, Red Holiday Candles, Red Pikmin Eggs, Red Stockings, S.S. Dolphins, and Space Whale Plushies. Naturally my inventory has only grown since becoming a staff member, so I have a lot more full lineups (Red Heart Balloons, Red Bunny Balloons, Red PIkmin Eggs, sceneries) and full rows (too many to list, lol), as well as currently 17 Red Star Fragments. Can't have enough Red Star Fragments, I guess!

But besides the balls I so clearly made a reality with this post from 4 years ago lol I like to collect multiples of *big kid swag* collectibles only if they serve to tell a story within my lineups. For example, I have five Froggy Eggs because there are five frogs in Ocarina of Time that you have to play five specific songs to in order to get a Piece of Heart. The messages on my Froggy Eggs are the songs you need to play. But I realize that Froggy Eggs are not too sought-after, so I'll just say I also have multiple Super Mario Galaxy Eggs

There are some collectibles where I've collected 5+ of them that aren't too in-demand/expensive, specifically Pink Hybrid Roses, Purple Hybrid Roses, Plum Blossoms, Mermaid Scale Halloweaster Eggs, and now Popsicles, just because I think they look nice in one row.

The two collectibles I've been collecting a lot of are the Space Whale Plush, of which I have ten, and the Red Turnip, of which I have eight. I do hope to get two more Red Turnips in time, one from 2024 and one from 2019!

I only have 10 of the Duck Plush and Hearts-a-Light because they are incredibly endearing to me and also inexpensive. I tend to dislike having more than two of a collectible, so I could not imagine having 10 of an expensive one, but if it makes you happy, go for it!

I would like to with some certain ones but I actually have to fight social anxiety to do collectible trades, so I haven't really been trying.

I strongly prefer to display only one of a collectible at a time. There are just so many—it’s already hard to rotate them often enough to showcase all my favorites + seasonal themes + a bunch of events that require certain collectibles to be displayed instead of a chosen lineup. I only have multiples of collectibles through events like this last one; I don’t seek it out.

I confess I occasionally feel a bit sad when I see 5-10 of one expensive or rare collectible in one lineup, because it feels so challenging to get even one without having a network of forum friends donating TBT and looking out for deals and so on—let alone a large number concentrated under one account! But I promise I’m not judging—I can’t really relate to the desire for a lot of one collectible, but I appreciate that other people are not me.

I'm definitely someone who likes to acquire either 5 or 10 copies of collectibles I really like for half or full lineups. Cost, amount of the collectible in circulation and how much I like a particular collectible influence which number of a particular collectible I seek out. However, most of mine that fit this criteria are things that aren't all that expensive individually, definitely not like multiple wands or anything, typically only a few hundred TBT per collectible, never really anything at or above 1000 TBT per. Black Roses, Jacks, Pumpkin Cupcakes, those sorts of things.

Yes! I like having a row of the same collectible sometimes. I plan on having a full lineup of Snake Figurines at some point. The collectibles that I choose don't necessarily have to be rare though. I would like a full lineup of Weeds too. As long as it suits my tastes

Honestly there is so much I’d love multiple copies; the kitty plushies are my top wish for multiple copies though

I have multiple fossil and HHP eggs, but because I had enough tokens from that event to get more than one.

I have trouble making tbt and selling collectibles so I’ll probably not be able to acquire more than one of collectibles, which is okay since atm I’m just a casual collector .

I do have a habit of hoarding collecting a full line as I think some are just so nice. I have only gone after single full lines (although I am blessed with 10 Mother’s Day carnations from dear friends which I treasure)

I honestly didn’t realise that I had so many. Anything purple I’m like a magpie so Sakura, roses, balloons, purple candy, bat potions gleaming butterfly and planet glow wand.

I couldn’t resist a full line of neverminders fragments as apart from being lovely it’s just such a nice memory of an amazing team. The hearts a light are so pretty it’s so nice to have a permanent lights line up.

I have doubles of plenty and at most, 5 of a certain one! I did at one point have 10s of some things by chance (Friday 13th candies, mushrooms), but never used them all at once.

There’s only a couple collectibles that I try to have multiples of, with the more expensive ones being something like a party popper! I have 7 party poppers because I like the way they look, but I actually think they’ve gotten a lot easier to collect over the years

With a lot of collectibles I typically feel like one is enough for me, but I love collecting multiples of flowers! I have at least a single row of most of the common flowers now, and extras for some of those, plus a couple hybrid duplicates. I've also been working towards a full row of Lilies of the Valley and am just one away from that goal now!! ;v;
There's a few other collectibles I wouldn't mind having duplicates of, like the feathers/star fragments/moons/etc., but I probably won't actively go for any of those until my other collectible goals are complete.

With maybe some exceptions for flower breeding I don't really see myself collecting past a single row though; I've never really considered doing a full lineup of one collectible. and now that I've said this, watch me go "I need ten rn" next time a new pretty collectible releases

Back in 2019/early 2020 (when lineups were 6 per row) I collected 6 Yoshi Eggs and 6 Red Balloons (my two favourite collectibles at the time). However, I never display these rows anymore because there are just so many other collectibles I wanna display too :')
