I'm not just talking about Nookazon but in game. Not that i want you to revive bad times but if anyones willing to share his stories, i'll be reading.

Personally, no… Never had one before.

I haven't at all. Every person I've played with have been really kind and polite. If anything, I'd say they were super cautious and always asked permission which isn't a bad thing at all.

Even when ACNH was booming in the beginning and I'd visit all the islands for DIYS or when I held small play sessions; I never had trouble another player. Maybe the most concerning, I had a visitor disappear somewhere in the far corners of my island and I just announced I'll be ending session because I had no idea where they went, haha.

I don't recall having too many terrible online gameplay experiences in NH (my experiences with the fandom outside of the game is a whole different story though..); I think the "worst" was maybe back when I got my first good turnip price and opened a queue on Turnip Exchange; my entry fee was simply furniture on my ISO or NMT (nothing crazy, only like 1 or 2 was enough) and one person blatantly wiggled past me without paying 🤷‍♀️

Other stuff was just minor annoyances; people taking an unreasonably long time to fly in, people not leaving properly, running through my flowers, etc.

People have always been very kind to me online, thankfully it seems that overall this community is very nice! I did have a problem with one user picking up tips another had left, but that was probably a misunderstanding considering I said anything on the ground was free game. Some content creators would intentionally try to get scammed and they almost always failed .. I don't think this game attracts a lot of people who would scam and steal. Of course there are always exceptions, perhaps I've been lucky!

I've mostly had good experiences online! Lately, I've been trading on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Discord and I've had nothing but positive experiences from trading with people there. When I was first playing the game when it was extremely popular around when it came out, I used Turnip Exchange a lot and had mostly good experiences, but I did have one bad experience - I went to an island advertising a take one, leave one (where you take an item, and leave an item in exchange) or a yard sale - I can't remember off the top of my head, it was so long ago - and I went and saw other people picking up items, so I went and started shopping and picking up items as well (there was no entry fee) and the host got mad at me, saying something like how dare I do that, really hurtfully, and sent me home :( It bothered me for quite a few weeks after, and it took me a couple days to actually play the game online again after that experience. Things like that bother me, and it takes me months to get over it.

I haven’t had any poor experiences online in Animal Crossing, no. I did have bad experiences on other games, however. Animal Crossing is such a nice game and I can’t imagine anyone being a jerk on that game. The people that are, are usually young kids trying to have some fun.

I think the community changes depending on where you find people. People on Facebook in general are usually a lot meaner. Those you find on forums are typically much nicer. I think if anyone has encountered a troll or had a bad experience online on this game, it was probably just a bad part of the community. It doesn’t make the whole community bad. The people on this forum are pretty nice and I’d assume it’s highly unlikely you’d have a poor experience here.

I've only had one online experience with someone from this forum, but it was great! They wound up giving me way more than what I had initially planned to purchase!

I’ve always had very good experiences thankfully. The only one time that was negative was back when the game first released and I had an open town for people to come and gather shooting stars. I had loads of people come that night and everyone was lovely. Other than one person who stole all my fruit from my orchard and all my items in my trade swap shop. I don’t know who did it because there were so many people coming and going and I was AFK for a lot of it.

Honestly, I only come here for trading and such and I've never encountered a single issue. Everyone here is respectful and lovely.

The only "unpleasant" situations I may have had playing online were actually with people I know IRL who wanted to play ACNH when it first came out. But maybe my issue with that was that they weren't "hardcore fans" or at least not as deeply invested in the game as I've been for the past years (which is ok, in and of itself, but I don't remember having a lot of fun playing that way).

i havent had issues in new horizons but i did in new leaf. when i first signed up for this site, i hosted a flower giveaway that people could take any regular flowers they wanted, and someone took a BIG chunk of my gold and blue roses. i was so insanely mad and couldn't figure out who did it because i had two people in my town and they both pointed fingers at each other, i think i ended up leaving negative feedback on both and then blocking them. i was maybe 14-15 at the time, so it was a long time ago.

Pretty sure most of my experiences are quite positive, everyone is very polite and nice in this community.

That said, I did meet a few careless or weird-acting people while hosting recipes of my villages in the new horizons early days...nothing too crazy, in fact the only actually rude person I can remember is someone from another website that was very mad at me because while my plane was arriving at their island the conection was lost somehow (my wifi was fine and have traded plenty before and after with no problem) and afterwards their villager stopped crafting so they believed it was my fault. 😅

not at all. i’ve only done online interactions in new horizons through here and occasionally turnip exchange, and everyone i’ve met has been nothing but polite, trustworthy and reliable. the only iffy interaction i’ve had thus far wasn’t even bad, just uncomfortable and mildly annoying due to miscommunication. the person it happened with and i have since traded again and it went a lot smoother that time, so it doesn’t bother me much anymore. still makes me cringe when i think about it, though haha.

new leaf, though, was a bit of a different story. mostly all my online interactions were positive, but i had a few unpleasant experiences. none of them were with anyone on here!! but i’ve had people come to my island unannounced, interrupt a trade i was doing and try to steal stuff, invite me to their island to do a trade and then ignore me once i arrived because they were hanging out with a friend at the same time, etc. again, these interactions were more annoying than downright bad, and i’m grateful they’re the most negative experiences i’ve had, as i definitely could’ve had worse.

I have never had a bad experience on here as everyone is so lovely but before I joined I was trading on other sites that would always get raided so you would have people leak your dodo code so heaps of people would arrive on your island trying to take your things :(

When I did have access to usable WiFi I participated in a lot of trades here on Bell Tree. All were positive experiences and I'd love to do it again if I can get decent net again out here in the sticks. Never felt any urge to go anywhere else for my Animal Crossing needs. So many nice people here who helped me out and asked for so little in return. 🥰

I don't think I've had any really bad experiences online; although once someone stole the Able's Sister's tickets from my outdoor café that I had sitting on the counter to look like cash lol

I stick to these forums when it comes to purchasing in-game items and haven't had bad experiences with that. Doesn't hurt that I tend to stick to certain sellers based on the items they stock, past experience, etc., so anything going wrong would be rather unexpected. Regardless, none of the other one off experiences have been unpleasant as far as I can recall.

Otherwise, I basically exclusively play singleplayer (not that there's all that much choice, with the lack of minigames there isn't much to do with friends). The people in my friend groups mostly stopped playing this game within the first year due to the patch release schedule for content and lack of things to do in terms of multiplayer engagement. As such, since I'm not really going online, there isn't much opportunity to be had for bad experiences.

There was more risk of having a bad time in New Leaf when you'd go to Tortimer's Island and chose the option to interact with people around the world (rather than going yourself or with a friend), but even then, I didn't have any bad encounters there either.

I haven't had a bad experience online while playing New Horizons. I've either played with friends or with people on the forums and things have always gone smoothly.

I've had a couple of strangers show up when I've posted my Dodo code publicly before (not on TBT, and in the early days of the game). They were fine though, not bad experiences. I'm pretty sure at that stage everybody was just looking for new fruits. 😅

I don't think I've had any bad experiences. 😊

Someone did cut me off unexpectedly at one time but apologised later. Overall most of my experiences are pretty positive thanks to everyone here on TBT.

I’ve never had a bad experience online with others. Whether that’s trading here or other places or playing with others. I think most people playing are respectful and kind. I think there’s a very small minority of people
who are scammy and rude with online play. I think there’s a lot of talk about awful online experiences because it’s a huge topic.
