Do you ever wonder what Hogwarts House each villager would be in?

I always wonder what house my villagers would be in, like Julia always talks about how she loves fashion and I get so many Slytherin vibes. She will just do anything to be a fashionista. And Mitzi is so sweet, definitely a Hufflepuff! Drago is just a bit lazy tbh but I think he's probably a Hufflepuff because he gets on really well with everyone! Audie is really upbeat and bubbly but also quite spontaneous so I think she'd be a pretty good Gryffindor. Aurora is really sweet and shy but I normally see her reading a book under a tree or crafting in her home. I can see her as the quiet and studious type, Ravenclaw!
And Marshal is literally Draco Malfoy, not in the rude or spoiled sense but in the dramatic and boastful sense. My sister has him in her town and she literally just quotes him all the time; I can just hear him saying "POTTAH" at the end of every sentence.
Does anyone else do this or am I just a freak haha

I feel like Velma would totally be a Slytherin! Just an overly ambitious and clever one.

As far as villagers that are on my island right now, I would sort them like this:

1. Lobo - Ravenclaw
2. Merengue - Hufflepuff or Gryffindor (I'm really on the fence about her and I'm not sure which one would fit her best)
3. Leopold - Slytherin
4. Zucker - Hufflepuff
5. Marina - Huflepuff
6. Piper - Slytherin (I know she is a peppy, but she would be a total Slytherin)
7. Bianca - Gryffindor
8. Flo - Ravenclaw
9. Sherb - Gryffindor (I could see him be totally loyal to a fault, kinda like Neville)

Edit: it is autumn. I think I might put house sweaters up in my Able Sisters and see where the villagers sort themselves!

I totally agree that Marshal is Draco Malfoy, it's why I wanted him originally cause I think it's hilarious. I've been dressing him in greens instead of his favorite color blue.

Not disagreeing with any ideas posted but I feel like a very simple method is that each house gets 2 personalities. The way I see it:

Gryffindor: jock and sisterly
Hufflepuff: lazy and peppy
Ravenclaw: cranky and normal
Slytherin: smug and snooty

The main one that I contemplated switching was sisterly and peppy. I feel like they could potentially go either way. But I ultimately put sisterly in Gryffindor since it matches with jock and the starting two villagers being adventurous and almost like the two of them and you, the player, are the protagonists of the island.

My current villagers:

Punchy: Either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff; I say Hufflepuff because he worries about not having a snack buddy when he realized he did something wrong to one of his friends.

Kiki: Ravenclaw - because she is an avid reader and she seems to have anxiety like me. Some of my friends think that I might still be good in Hufflepuff though, so maybe the same can be said for her.

Rudy: Gryffindor or Hufflepuff; I think he’d be more more of a Hufflepuff since he gets along with everyone even my lazies (who this one website says jocks are least compatible with). I just got my first snooty to move in, so we’ll see if he gets along with her (he did get in a fight with Dom, Merry, Rosie and Cyd thought).

Rosie: Hufflepuff

Merry: Hufflepuff

Roscoe: Gryffindor since he likes to act as a patrol guard and look after my other villagers.

Raymond: Gryffindor or Ravenclaw - I think he’d be an Ollivander’s type of business cat.

Sherb: Same as Punchy - probably Hufflepuff.

Judy: Slytherin or Hufflepuff. I’m leaning towards Slytherin right now; I just got her from my campsite so we’ll see if my opinion changes.

Graham: Ravenclaw - I haven’t gotten to know him well yet, but I’m pretty sure my answer would remain the same.

Oooo this looks so fun! Here's my take on my own villagers based on my headcanons.

Bea squad:
Bea - definitely Ravenclaw, very smart girl with leadership qualities.
Sherb - Hufflepuff. Like packing a lot of snacks. Would've been Ravenclaw if you based it solely on his math and deduction skills, but unfortunately he's bad at all other subjects.
Ruby - solid Hufflepuff. She's cute and airheaded and is good with making her friends smile. Always accidentally gets into trouble.
Felicity - maybe Hufflepuff, but also considering Gryffindor because my headcanon of her is that she's more mature/sisterly than most peppy villagers. She's Ruby's best friend (and eternal caretaker, that's why Felicity is lightyears more mautre)
Lily - Ravenclaw. Avid reader. Good swimmer too!

Genji squad:
Genji - Gryffindor, he's really got that heroic air to him. Would also be really good at quidditch.
Shep - Ravenclaw? He's multi-talented and smart even though he doesn't look like it.
Lobo - Gryffindor. No one knows why the sorting hat put him in that house considering he doesn't even look the part, but don't underestimate the hat. It knows Lobo's potential.
Fuchsia - Gryffindor. Her musical escapades and adventurous spirit are the best qualities about her.

I would add Judy but I haven't connected with her at all. Maybe she's a Slytherin?

Oh, yes, I very much agree. With how varying each animal's design is, they definitely do sort of transcend beyond their personalities in a way, and what I listed definitely cannot just decide it all in easy, cookie-cutter situations. I just thought it was a decent start. A basis to begin evaluating where each villager belongs.

That's interesting. I made a similar post tied to personality, but I had normal in ravenclaw and peppy in hufflepuff. I would literally put peppy anywhere other than ravenclaw first, ravenclaw is all about brains and peppies are all about pizazz and image. I also thought normal worked best in ravenclaw because they're always reading amd talking about books.

I don't have a full island right now since I restarted recently for 2.0, but...

Katt - I feel like she is such a Griffindor. Like, gets on well with most but would not be opposed to making some good natured mischief on anyone who was mean to her friends. Plus, she talks about riding a motorbike in fall, so I could totally see her in a Weasley flying car!

Teddy - I want to say he would also be Griffindor. He's such a lovable big brother type, and I could picture him being a Beater for Quidditch and absolutely running around under an invisibility cloak with Katt to spy on suspicious Slytherins.

Sherb - Hufflepuff. He's such a sweet little shy boy who thinks the best of everyone. His favorite subject is Herbology, but he ends up having issues because as a goat, he has a tendency to unthinking nibble plants that he shouldn't. Madam Pomfery is not amused.

Cookie - Hufflepuff besties with Sherb! Their parents were friends in school, and she is a year ahead of Sherb, so she looks out for him. She wants to write for the Quibbler someday, promoting unique fashion for the open minded! Move over Rita Skeeter! Also, she low key has a crush on Firenze.

Celia - A quiet and kind Ravenclaw who wishes to learn the art of wand- making from Olivander. She'd rather hang out with her secret pet bowtruckle named Pinfeather. She has continued SPEW as a school club, due to her admiration for the story of Dobby, who she believes is an undervalued hero of his time.
