Do you have a villager that holds a special place in your heart?

Rasher & Chief.. I didn't play animal crossing much before nh but I played ww a bit and loved the cranky boys I had. Chief is quite cute for a cranky bc of his hobby & style, and Rasher is mainly a nostalgia thing (and I have a weird soft spot for the piggies...)

I had Rasher randomly move in on my first island and was so happy to see him again, and he's probably what I miss most after resetting.

And just the other day I found Chief on a nm island! I sent him a letter in ww asking him to come to nh with me so I'm really happy to see him, even if he is just an ai that doesn't really remember me lol. He's probably going to be my permanent cranky :D harrumph...

Skye definitely holds a special place in my heart! It’s kind of corny but she really just makes my heart so happy no matter what mood I’m in before I see her, she’s so cute curious and loves food! I view her as the mentally healthy version of myself :) I had her in New Leaf and I spent so long trying to get her and was ELATED when I did. Fauna and Beau are also very dear and close to my heart :)

Ed has a special place in my heart he was my day one in New Leaf and he is still in my town :) he would send me love poems and write down dreams that he had about me and send them in the mail :) His birthday is also 7 days after mine and he would always comment on that every year and we would celebrate each other’s :) He would also do little dancing for me to call me over or while we talked

i’ve got a few, actually!

tangy
other than being one of my favourite peppies and cat villagers, tangy was actually the first villager that i met ever! wild world was my first ac game after receiving it for christmas and while i don’t remember much of my time with it, i do remember snippets from my night, one of them being meeting tangy for the first time. i didn’t think much of it for a while but now that i’m older, tangy is incredibly special to me for that reason and i just love her a lot c’:

bones
i may or may not have tried to date him in wild world lmao. he’s not one of my favourites, now, but he’s still a cutie and i can definitely appreciate younger me’s fondness for him even though trynna date him was a bit sus-

beau
i think beau might be my #1 favourite of all time. don’t get me wrong, i have so, so many favourite villagers, but beau has meant so much to me since new leaf. even before the game released in NA and all i had was a list of villagers, i was absolutely obsessed with beau and despite my constant fluctuating dreamie list and embarrassing town name ideas, i knew that having beau was a must for me. now, i still love him with all my heart and he’s just,, the sweetest lil guy <3
I feel you ahahah. I tried to date Chief for the longest time. And he was terribly mean in WW 😂

Tex. He was one of my first villagers in New Leaf and I've had him the entire 5+ years I played that game. I plan on moving him into my NH island as well because Animal Crossing isn't Animal Crossing to me without him.

I loved to read all your stories and I’m glad that a lot of people have a villager that it’s close to their hearts. It might seem silly to get attached to pixel animals but ac has been out for quiete a long time and I feel that who played since childhood will always hold a special memory linked to the game and to some villagers 🌸

Alice, Gayle, Skye

Alice was one of my very first villagers in Wild World. I fell in love with Animal Crossing and I fell in love with her ❤

I had been playing New Leaf for a few years before Gayle moved in. She was never on my radar and I didn't expect to like her so much! I just really liked talking to her 🤷‍♀️

I was super excited to see who my bff would be in New Horizons. I figured that it would be someone unexpected like what happened with Gayle (and I was right). I thought a few villagers could've been the one before it clicked - Plucky, Nibbles, Bitty, and Lolly was super close. Skye ended up singing her way into my heart (seriously always singing). I was running out of NMT while island hopping and figured she was cute enough so I brought her home - so happy I did!

Maple moved in during October and she's growing on me real fast ❤️. And I'm hoping to love Lily as much is I think I'm going too! I've been looking for her for a while and she just moved in - very excited to get to know her and hopefully add her to my list of normie faves! 💁‍♀️

Rosie, because she's the first villager i fell in love with when i was still playing ACNL. Still waiting for her arrival to my island. I miss her so much

Dotty also holds a special place in my heart because... i don't know there's something really charming about her

Vladimir. I think he's pretty unpopular but he was one of my first villagers in NL, which was my first Animal Crossing game. At first, I didn't understand the charm of the grumpy personality, but Vladimir wormed his way into my heart and became my favorite. His house was an ugly construction site and I kept giving him nice furniture that he never put in his house anyway. He was also the only villager I regularly exchanged letters with. I recently bought his amiibo and got him to move in today. I'm excited to have him on my island again 🐻 💜

bob and jeremiah are special to me because i had them as a kid in wild world. the lazies were just so funny and cute back then and i really thought of them as friends

This thread is so pure! 🥺 💜

I am very new to the franchise; my S/O recommended watching gameplay videos of OutsideXtra team members play through New Horizons on YouTube because he knew this game would be right up my alley after reaching the end of Slime Rancher and having nothing left to do in that game. XD

When I first started playing and had set down plots three through five, I did not know about visiting Mystery Islands to run into random villagers. Fortunately, when the third plot got randomly filled, I approached the "sold!" sign, saw Goldie's name, checked the list of all villagers, and was so happy. I love dogs, and it is an absolute dream to one day have a pet dog. :3

Goldie is an absolute sweetheart, even though I destroyed her house. I relate a lot to the normal personality to boot. I let her move out because I primarily wanted to experience more villagers--destroying her house just made it easy to say "goodbye."

A while back, my S/O went island hopping on a Friday after a long week of work. He had spent 50 or so tickets, so he jumped at inviting (another instance of) Goldie. It's wonderful to be able to visit her whenever I go to his island, and I'm looking forward to the day when he is ready to let her move to my island. ❤

Henry.
For my NL town, I went through so many different phases of what villagers I wanted to have, what theme I was gonna try, it changed monthly. But Henry was the only one who I never got rid of. Did not have the heart to do that to my cute froggyboi, especially since he was in my town from the third day on. One of my best friends in real life is also named Henry so the villager would be a source for a lot of our inside jokes and stuff too.

I think Poppy! In one of my old NL towns, she was for whatever reason one of my favourite residents at the time. Always talking about books and cooking, and she was just so cute :) Definitely one of the best squirrels out there. Not sure if I would ever try to invite her to my island, but I definitely always remember her from NL.

I feel an attachment to Knox. I didn't think I would like any chicken villagers but then he showed up and really grew on me. I like a lot of cranky villagers, but Knox has a special place in my heart. His facial expressions are great and I love that his catchphrase is "cluckling" like he thinks you are a little baby chick. It's so sweet.

I have a few. First Bob, he was one of my orginal villagers in my first town on gamecube. He was also the first to move. I have played every version of ac since and I've never gotten him in my town again(much as I want to). I think Bob is part of the really I like Walt so much, they are both adorably grumpy old men.

Second is Shep. He moved into my nl town and I just really liked him. I hope to find again in nh.

My absolute favorite is Molly. She is the cutest sweetest little duck. I got her in nl from someone on here and I got lucky and found her on a mystery island in this game. She my 1 villager that I won't let leave. Also she looks absolutely adorable when she wears the giant yellow bow in her hair.

Lucky! He's my extreme favorite and I always try to make sure to get him in every Animal Crossing game. He's just so cute and his personality style is just too cute not to love. Plus he always looks good in everything.

mine is lobo, he's the first ever villager i remember having, my first amiibo character and he always randomly moves into all my towns ♡

i don't have him on NH or NL anymore but i still have him on city folk so i like to go back to that game every now and then to talk to him ^-^

Marina the adorable pink octopus. She had always been a dreamy of mine. One day when I was playing New Leaf (long before amiibos were a thing), I noticed that a new villager was moving in and went to check the sign to see who it was. I was a bit peeved that they decided to wreck my orange flowers, so my mood at the time was pretty irked... But when I read the sign, to my utter dismay, it said "Marina's house will go here" (or something along the lines of that). I completely flipped and screamed! I had finally gotten my #1 dream villager! I didn't even care anymore that she ruined my roses; Marina was coming to town! She's been with me ever since. :')

I'm also really attached to Octavian. I had him in my second town on the gamecube version and thought he was the coolest villager ever lol. He was my cranky old man neighbor who would get sick of me talking to him over and over again, but I always loved him. I was destroyed when he moved away and didn't touch that save for YEARS. Thankfully with amiibo cards, I was able to bring him back in NL and NH. :)
