I do on my face a little bit (also can't always tell what is older scars and what is current breakouts haha) but I definitely have them along my upper shoulders from where I used to have really bad breakouts and then pick at them
I have multiple small ones all across my upper back, and some on my face, chin, near my top lil and forehead. Prob some on my chest, I get mild acne there. I'm self conscious of the ones on my back, esp since I like to wear tank tops and shoulder revealing tops. Weird cause most is on my face, and I already get people staring and asking shallow questions and making rude statements. People who ask/say ride things usually think acne is only on the face, so it'll be a whole other thing when they see how bad my upper back is.
Sadly, I still get acne breakouts and I'm old, so, yeah that sucks. I do know part of it is due to some chronic health issues I have. Mostly I have uneven skin-tone issues on my face, but no pock-marks, thankfully. I do have a lot of other scars though from things other than acne.
I never had acne as a teenager/kid but in my early 20s I had a very very bad reaction to liquid latex that I put on my face for a zombie walk. It gave me crazy acne and my boss started calling me ugly and making fun of me, saying I used to be pretty and now I'm not. It made me go to the doctor and ask for diane 35 which my doctor said I didn't really need since my acne wasn't super severe (it was more a reaction and only was there for a few months at that point) but he obliged. I was desperate to fix it but I think the pills actually made my skin worse... after a very long time (I think 2 years) most of it went away but left really deep red scars. My family and boss kept pointing it out which made me very insecure.. the scars have faded since then. It isn't dark or red. But if you look closely the scars are definitely still there, and you can feel them on my skin. The pills have changed my skin's chemistry too so that I get pimples all the time now. Not as severely but frequently enough to bother me. I wish I didn't let my boss's comments push me into going on those pills... I really ruined my skin
I have really bad acne so yes, and I kinda wish there was a way to get rid of the acne scars. So far, I’ve been trying to use a chemical peel solution like the Ordinary to help alleviate some of it but so far, I’m looking for something that’s much stronger.
i do but thankfully, it doesn’t bother me anymore. i used to be so self conscious about my acne and my scars but now that it’s cleared up significantly (i still struggle, though, especially right now:/), i’m able to look past it, which i’m grateful for. still, i do do my best to minimize my scars the best i can, though, as i definitely think that i’d prefer my skin without them. :’^)
I have some on my chin but it's not too severe which I am so grateful for. I use to have bad acne in middle/high school but going on bc helped with that by a ton! Now I'm just looking for ways to even my skin-tone out~
I don't think I have acne scars (do those have to be 3D?) but I do have some hyperpigmentation. Because I'm fair-skinned it's pink so for a long time I thought it was acne
I'd like my skin to be in a bit better condition so I'm trying to see what my options are outside of my regular beauty routine (like vitamin C and Tretinoin). Has anyone tried chemical peels for it?
Small ones but yes. They’re going away though. For some reason, I started getting acne right when I was sent home on March last year since COVID started. I’ve been working from home. Right about that time is when I started getting bad acne which I have never had like that before. I started tretinoin which my doctor suggested and it actually made it worse before it started getting better. The scars are from about 2-3 months ago when it was worse. Now I’m doing much better and not breaking out anymore. The scars are going away and the treatment seems to finally be working.
