Do you have any sorts of fun headcanons for your villagers?

What Raymond Is: A city guy who's wealthy, thanks to both his father's business, and his own. He has no problem with marketing and selling his products due to his in-game fame. All that paperwork you see in his house? He's simply calculating his riches, funding for his business, and his loyal workers' paychecks. Smugly flirts with everyone and dates lots of villagers. However, Ankha is main fling that he has no problem with stealing from Lucky. Was born with black hair, but dyes it blonde to appeal to the crowd. Patrick Bateman routine.

Who Raymond Is: Business-savvy, socially clever, and mathematically gifted. Never got bullied EVER because he's great looking (animal-wise), and very good with mingling. Unfortunately, because Raymond was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth, this means he isn't used to not getting what he wants. Raymond WILL become manipulative and he will get his hands dirty when a goal is blocked off from easy access. Raymond takes satisfaction in becoming a villain that nobody even realizes. He likes the chase, he IS a cat after all. Secretly a jerk.

What Ankha Is: Wealthy woman who's so wealthy, even her hypothetical great-great-great-great grandkids wouldn't have to work. The most famous villager in the Animal Crossing universe. Every guy wants to get with her, every gal wants to be her. Hooks up with Raymond for her own gratitude, and to please the crowd since almost everyone ships them. Has a makeup business, and a clothing one. Owns lots of land/property, ask her if you wanna rent a vacation home. Phenomenal actress, talented at dancing too. Insanely beautiful (animal-wise).

Who Ankha Is: Knows a lot more about countless topics than people always expect. Wants to have kids some day, but she's unsure of whether to pick Raymond or Lucky for the marriage first. May adopt and become a mom on her own though. May come off as rude and critical, but really just wants the best for everyone. Witnessed so many things in her magically long life, nothing really scares her anymore. Expects people to act rather nervous and very polite, but doesn't get mad when people act differently, unless one is rude..then..

To respond to my own prompt, on my island:

Villager Lore:

Raymond is a rich, handsome, and confident young actor taking a break from it all and studying the local small-town island dwellers for a role. Despite his fame, he is a bit awkward at interpersonal relationships and expressing genuine emotion because of his upbringing, and often misses social cues. His father, a wealthy businessman, raised Raymond on his own, and loves him very much, but he's a bit overly serious and unaffectionate, always treating Raymond more like a little adult than a child.

Jacques dropped out of college to pursue his dream of becoming a DJ with minimal success and much to the embarrassment of his family. He's not bad at what he does, but just hasn't caught his big break yet. He can be kind of a flirt and is rather fickle, but he typically means well. Cares way too much about what people think of him.

Dobie is the local grumpy old man who moved to the island to retire after the passing of his wife (Monique, they just had something going on in my New Leaf file lol), who had been a well-loved stage actress and opera singer in her day. He secretly cares a lot about the rest of the Islanders but only expresses it in indirect ways (i.e., giving his neighbors gifts that they really want under the guise of "well I was going to throw it out anyway" and pretending he doesn't realize how much it means to them). He has a little shrine for his late wife in his house and is working on writing his memoirs and some noir detective type novels. Really into caligraphy and mystery novels.

Tiffany is the "mean girl" of the island, but she's not actually all that mean... She's fearless and overprotective of her lifelong friend Bella, who she operates a little gothic flower shop with, but otherwise a little aloof and dry with people. She doesn't mean anything by it and would still probably be the first to come to bat for them in a pinch. "Doesn't suffer fools lightly" is probably the best way to describe her character.

Bella is the resident weird girl, very energetic and talkative. She is a peppy metalhead and she also collects dead bugs (cicada shells), Gyroids, and dinosaur bones. She's totally unaware that to some people she's very annoying or off-putting and has never even had the thought cross her mind to be insecure.

Pompom is a girly-girl who also is stubborn and headstrong. Often, she comes off as abrasive and hurts people's feelings without realizing it at the time, but usually tries to make amends afterwards. In some ways, she is a bit shallow, but genuinely cares about her good friends, Kiki and Zucker. She's a middle child and didn't get lots of attention growing up, so now she wants to be in the spotlight and a little bossy.

Kiki is quiet and often insecure. She would prefer to stay at home and read her books all day or garden, but she's often dragged around on misadventures with Pompom, like visiting the cemetery on my island at night or climbing onto the rooftops of the buildings to stargaze or sunbathe. She's terribly anxious the entire time but enjoys herself too because she'd never work up the courage to do these sorts of things on her own.

Zucker marches to the beat of his own drum, talking to himself and his big collection, and he is mostly content to be on his own until Pompom or Kiki come find him for something. He's a very go-with-the-flow type of person, so he was a natural pick for Pompom's little gang of friends.

Mac's my only Jock villager, and he's also a woodworker who makes furniture for the other islanders. He's aggressively positive and surprisingly emotionally intelligent. He can sense when something is wrong with one of his neighbors and will go to comically great lengths to try and cheer them up, often missing the mark entirely. When he was growing up, he used to be a bit of a delinquent who caused a lot of trouble for his family, especially his late mother, and he feels a lot of guilt over this and is trying to make up for it now.

Hazel is the long-suffering older sister of the island and tends to the local shrine. She frequently finds herself stepping in to resolve the conflicts or misunderstandings of other villagers. Growing up, she was frequently bullied for her looks, but has risen above it all. Her and Mac are workout buddies and go on morning jogs together everyday.

Random Headcanons:
  • Jacques, Raymond, and Tiffany have a weekly meeting where they discuss fine art and watch weird indie films.
  • Tiffany is into Mac but he doesn't reciprocate because he likes Hazel, though due to her being teased for her looks a lot in the past, she'd never believe this.
  • There's also an unlikely friendship between Tiffany and Hazel. Tiffany, as someone who ties too much of her worth to her appearance, is envious of Hazel's disregard for her looks.
  • Dobie sees Kiki as a bit of a daughter figure and they frequently exchange books and their own writing drafts. Kiki writes romance novels, compared to Dobie's hardboiled detective thrillers, but he's very respectful of her work.
  • Kiki has a huge crush on Tiffany but is also terrified of her. Only Zucker knows about it.
  • Jacques asked Mac to help him get in shape, but gave up after a day. Mac has not, however, given up on him and frequently pushes him to exercise, so Jacques avoids him at all costs.
  • Raymond is gay and dating my villager
