Do You Keep A Perfect/Nice Town?

Yeah, but if you do it all at once you'll be a prisoner in your own town with all the holes! XD
No, you need to lay out patterns. Holes disappear as soon as you turn off your game.

It's just holes in the ground is the same size as a pattern laying on the gound. eg: 1 space.

Nigel: Holes disapear when you turn off your game? Huh, I never knew that. Also, yeah, I guess if you were going to do the 16X16 complextion, then you would dig out one acre, then fill it up, and so on and so forth.

The patterns would also work in the same way, but you can't walk over holes, unless your character's name is G-D.

No you lay out patterns.

i have a perfect town and i've had it for getting close to the 14 or 15 day mark, whatever it is, lol. i've heard both. so far, i've gotten 3 jacob's ladders (haven't checked for today) and coming up close for my gold watering can. <3 i think i may keep it perfect so i can keep getting jacob's ladders... but we'll see.

I have 4 Jacob's Ladders and 4 hybrids now. I'm beginning to wonder if hybrids are more likely in a "perfect" town...

I don't let my town completely die, but I'm too busy to keep it perfect either. And once I get the gold watering can, I really could care less :P

Jacob's Ladders give flowers a higher chance of producing hybrids.

Ooooh. That must be why I had a random pink cosmo pop up next to my pink cosmo, orange cosmo, and pink tulip. Neat! I love hybrid flowers.

Thanks for the info. :)

I keep it a C average...But I'm slowly planting trees
But Forget getting a perfect town rating, that thing is very hard to accomplish. T_T

I got the perfect town and the golden watering can. It only took a day or 2 to get my town to perfect status, just had to rearrange some flowers and plant some new trees.

After it's been perfect for 15 days, it's really almost no work to keep it perfect. During my regular tour looking for fossils, I pull out any weeds I see and water any wilting plants. That's all it takes, really. Oh, and don't leave trash/items laying around. I also have been buying all the flowers from Nook every day and planting them wherever I want grass/snow to come back faster, and it's really helping. I don't think there's any penalty for too many flowers.

And I do believe a perfect town helps with hybrids - I just got a black rose and I'm hoping it'll breed with my purple roses so I can get started on a blue rose garden. I've got orange pansies popping up every day, as well as a lot of pink and orange cosmos. One blue pansy and 4 purple roses. One purple tulip and one black tulip. I started getting more and more hybrids the longer my town was perfect.
