Do you like the Kangaroo villagers? 🦘

I never see Kangaroos talked about. I never see them on anyone's island or even town if we talk about older games. I've personally never had one as a villager. Never had any of the anteaters too. I've been playing this series since Wild World.

I like kangaroos. And my favourite kangaroo is Mathilda. She looks cool to me.

Mathilda was on my island for a while. She's a snooty. She had great conversations with Dom, my sporty sheep, that made me laugh. Here's Mathilda in a tongue twister battle with Dom and here's Mathilda succumbing unwittingly to Dom's rage-aerobics.

Kangaroos are one of the worst species in the game. Perhaps even the actual worst species.

The babies they carry are just too creepy.
The males are okay but I can't say either are ones I'd seek out for my island

I don’t like them. I had Mathilda in city folk, and her shirt really bothered me. When I first saw her it looked like her baby was coming out of a bloody hole cut into her stomach. It creeped me out so I hated her and it also ruined all kangaroos for me.

Walt is one of my favorite villagers. I don't like the female kangaroos though, the baby clones are too weird

I wish the mom kangaroos would interact with their joey or even at least mention their existence, they don't even have to name them but at least say SOMETHING about them. I feel it's a missed opportunity

My favorite is Astrid and I have her in my gamecube town. The babies blinking the same time as the mom bothers me. She never mentions her baby either. I’d honestly consider moving Astrid into my new horizons town if they revamped the kangaroo babies.

i love the kangaroos, to be fair i love all villager species
my favourite is rooney because he is super jazzy, walt and mathilda are amazing aswell

I think there are some good kangaroo villagers, though honestly none that I'd island hop for as there are too many other villagers I like more. I've had both Rooney and Kitt as random move ins on my island and they were both good villagers, in particular Rooney who has a really nice colour scheme. My favourite ones though are Mathilda, as I think her black and purple colours work really well together and she has my favourite personality, and Walt as he has a really cool design. I do agree with what others have said about the joeys though, I wish they were acknowledged and didn't just mimic their mothers all the time.

They make me uncomfortable, if they didn’t have the weird baby they would be a lot better imo.

I don't hate them, but a lot of them look kinda weird to me. But I have had Carrie on my island, and she was pretty sweet. Didn't think she looked to weird either, and I never noticed the joeys blinking at the same time as their moms. And some of the anteaters also look weird, but I wouldn't mind having one of them on my island sometime either.

Not really. I don't like the fact that the females and their babies look exactly the same and make the same facial expressions and the babies don't even have names nor the moms talk about them. And the males don't really have cool designs imo.
And why there are not females without babies?

i'd say i'm neutral on them. i don't hate or dislike them, but i don't love or like them either. none of them have appealing designs to me, but i wouldn't be mad/annoyed if certain kangaroos moved into my town. i've never willingly moved one in, but i've had several move in randomly in previous games. (been playing since WW and had my fair share of them as neighbors, albeit not in NH so far.) the female kangaroos put me off slightly purely because the joeys are... weird. i think if they were going to be exist, they should've been implemented better than they are. i'm not going to pretend i know anything about game creation/coding/modelling, but even just having the joeys blink on a different timer to their mothers and/or make different (but similar) facial expressions would go a long way. failing that, just having them refer to the joey in dialogue (which, y'know, definitely doesn't require any extra work/coding, really) would make a difference. right now, they're just like... an accessory and it's weird, especially since they're supposed to be alive.

The males, Rooney and Walt, are the best kangas.

The females creep me out because of the joeys. If the joeys didn't copy the mothers like they are extra heads of the mother maybe I would consider them.

Aw I get so sad with how much hate the kangaroos get. I think they're cute. Idk why the baby thing bothers so many people, like how are they supposed to do it?

I had Mathilda in NL and she was great. I had Carrie as my starting normal in NH, I let her go but kinda miss her.

The males actually bother me more. Walt is cool but I hate Rooney's design and am very annoyed that they're the same personality.

I'm cool with the Roos. As a matter of fact, my newest villager is a kangaroo (Carrie).

Only the girls- the boys feel so pointless to me. The whole point is the adorable baby joeys! I had Carrie on my island over Toy Day, because I wanted to have a kid on my island for it. I also had Sylvia for awhile- I LOVE her color scheme, and her personality is so great for a mom. Like, she had a wild past, but now she's started to settle down a bit. She's protective and caring but, like, she knows what's important and doesn't sweat the small stuff. Also, her hobby was music, and when she would sing, her joey would smile and sway along with her- it looked like she was serenading her baby and was precious!

Currently I have Kitt, who's cute, but I'm ready to let her go once I get her pic. I randomly got her as a campsite villager and moved her in, but I have to say, I don't care for her house much. It doesn't match any of my other villagers' houses and the interior is... odd. But Carrie's house was perfect- the exterior was adorable and the interior was precious- I gifted her a Rodeo ride-on for Toy Day and it matched FLAWLESSLY ☺

Only kangaroo I like is Walt the samurai Kangaroo.
I don't care for the rest, especially the females, they look freaky with baby heads sticking out of their stomachs.

I like Mathilda, Walt, and Rooney. Marcie is alright. Not a big fan of the others.
