I can't wait for it! It's going to be a great game by the looks of it, I'm actually going to call up Gamestop and see about if they'll be having the amiibo reader bundle I saw on Amazon. (I've got just a regular 3ds XL, no plans to upgrade anytime soon, and I'd really like to use those amiibo cards.)

$40 seems like a bit too much. I like the concept and execution from what I've seen but it seems too pricey and I would prefer to have a game like this digitally.

Pre-ordered from Play Asia, I may be downloading it though depending on how the order with them goes. Have it pre-ordered at Game Stop too, and will be picking that up in September.

The more info that comes out about it, the more interested I am in playing it!
It looks like a lot of fun and also makes a neat segue into the next main series games and preview of what's to come next.
Really excited to see that a lot of old villagers are possibly making a comeback and I hope there's a lot of space for villagers you can interact with because it seems like a great opportunity to do so. :blush:

I can't help but feel people are jumping on the bandwagon because it's Animal Crossing ;)

Saying that... I'm probably going to get it too! Call me a sheep all you like.

idk if this is a bump but

maybe it's just me, but this game seems like an awful idea? like it has 0 replay value... i can see the appeal IF it was a smaller game (not charged at full price, perhaps an add-on to new leaf would be amazing) but for full price this game seems like a massive rip off. i don't even think it's an amazing idea. i know there's over 300 villagers and everything, but i feel like it would become boring after the first 50, 20 even for me... i don't really see any kind of appeal to it and i feel like just because it's an AC game people are just jumping to get it. i don't understand the whole amibo or whatever cards either or how they link in with the game at all. just seems like a massive rip off for a pretty boring sounding game. of course, that's me personally and i can see how others may enjoy it but this is one AC game i won't be buying .

I wish I stayed in Japan a bit longer so I could have gotten the game ;-;
Other than that YES IM BUYING IT
Im really glad the amiibos are cheap and they come in packs
also really glad that its on the 3ds because i aint buying a wii u

I think its a great idea! Everything looks great and new. I like how the player is given all the options at the start of the game and the is full control over what you look like. I think this game will help me become a better home designer for future animal crossing games because that is something that i always lacked. I am almost done designing my new leaf village with paths and everything and that was the first time i tried designing my town and making it pretty. I think that going forward it will be a great game. I cant wait to get it!

I will buy it on day one. I kinda owe the animal crossing franchise because I bought a 2nd hand Animal crossing new leaf so i kinda want to give back to the series.

i may not buy the amiibo cards though because I own a regular 3ds and buying a new 3ds is a deal breaker for me... and if I bought the amiibo reader.... ill end up wasting money and ill just buy the new 3ds right?

but maybe an amiibo reader + game + cards bundle might change my mind depending on price

Well, Amazon has a bundle that includes the game+amiibo reader+ an amiibo card, no price yet http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZS2HFVW?&refRID=R8Q2HVW8VEDRWVNK8ZM1&ref_=pd_cart_vw_2_1_p Only the price on the non-bundle, game with amiibo card only
