Do you think we will get a character similar to the new gen characters for deep sea creatures?

As far as I'm aware we don't have a way to get models of deep sea creatures at the moment. I'm wondering do you think we'll get a new character for that or that task will be given to CJ to tell Flick too?

Personally I hope we get a new character, but I think Nintendo will eventually do the latter I mentioned. All that's on my mind is if they do make a new character they could make them a turtle and have them be related to Tortimer which would be fun. Or they could make it an older Leila to match with CJ, Flick, and Daisy Mae's new generation theme. Idk now I got ideas on the brain.

All in all I hope we're able to get deep sea models soon! What do y'all think?

Most of the NPC's could/should be merged.

They're just 'filler' to make it look like we have loads of unique visitors.

I think C.J could take care of sea creature models.

I had three gigas clams stored for ages hoping we'd be able to get models, then I gave up and let them go.

I’d prefer CJ handle it- just do all aquatic creatures! Then maybe I’d actually stop and talk to him when he visits. Adding another NPC to the rotation just for ocean models feels like a waste, CJ could easily offer them!

Wendell is MIA and I kind of do wish there was an NPC that represented a next gen of him just like CJ did for Chip and Daisy Mae did for Joan.

CJ could handle this. The thing is if a whole new NPC was added it would take longer for him to come because there would be that one more NPC and then it would be even harder to get an NPC you were looking for.

While it would be really cool to have a model of the crabs, or giant isopod, or things like that, there are also things like... Seaweed... Would anyone want a model of that? Yuck. The scallops and such could look cool but of they're done like the others they'd have that stupid black stand with a rod holding it up, which would ruin it.

Anyway, I wish they would just let both CJ AND Flick do the deep sea models. They're underwater for CJ and a good majority of them are arthropods to keep Flick's interest. That way when CJ shows up, you'd have the choice between getting a fish model or getting a sea critter model, and when Flick shows up you'd get the option for bug or sea critter.

Or yeah, make a new character, but that does come with some issues in regards to visitor rotation.

I actually think that if whoever makes the sea creature models has enthusiasm in their craft we’ll get dynamic poses for those sorts of objects (seaweed in the position it takes underwater, the snails actually visible out of their shells, etc)! That’s if it isn’t relegated to flick, who only does the bare minimum for anything that isn’t a bug...

hm. i haven’t thought much about this but i definitely think it’s more likely that c.j. and flick will eventually be responsible for deep-sea creature models, too; don’t get me wrong, i definitely wouldn’t be opposed to a new npc, but seeing as how models are consistently flick & c.j.’s thing, i really don’t see them introducing someone new for this feature

I don't know if I personally would go for deep sea models but to be fair I'm not massive on any of the models - but I know there's a market for that out here somewhere. personally I hope that CJ will become responsible for them because adding a new NPC into the rotation just further decreases our chances of getting each NPC on any given day.

When I started diving, I honestly thought I'd be able to hand my gigas clams to CJ to make a model out of, because really, it's so beautiful and to have it stuck in a TANK feels insulting. If they allowed it to be just out in dry land like the horseshoe crab, that'd be amazing. But, I feel like maybe either CJ making the models, or giving Pascal something to do other than beg for my scallops would be great. A new NPC is always welcome, but really, when they're gonna take up a slot of the NPC rotations of visits, I don't really know if that's what I'd want.

I really want models of sea creatures too, specifically the nautilus! Whether we get a new character for this or not (CJ) I really hope this will happen eventually.
