Between fishing, catching bugs, digging for fossils, and diving (and also collecting art in whatever form), diving is definitely my favourite! I'm not sure if it's just because I really like sea creatures?

I did find diving and selling sea creatures was a pretty fast way to make bells (though I did feel a little bad catching them all just to sell them, as if I was destroying the Animal Crossing ocean or something). 🦀🪼🦐

I really like diving because sometimes the creatures offer more bells than the fish or bugs. I also really like the Mermaid furniture so I try to find scallops for Pascal or hope for a random pearl to spawn so I can make the furniture.

I would only continue for the Nook Miles goal as it is a very boring and tedious activity to do for extended periods otherwise. I have all the creatures in the museum, and all the mermaid DIY’s.

Sometimes. I think there are still a few more sea critters I haven't caught yet. Some are tricky where you literally have to chase them across the map to even have a chance of catching them or cornering them lol. Not saying that it's a bad thing as it feels very satisfying when you do catch them! On a side note, it was really weird for Nintendo to not include the sea dive feature from launch unless I'm not remembering things correctly.
Yes I thought it was weird as well to not include diving in the original release. I understand waiting and releasing something like the crops later because that’s new, but I didn’t like how we had to wait for diving as well. It was frustrating because we’ve had it in past games:/

Not anymore, this game triggered my huge fear of crabs lol
Okay I do kinda understand this lol, like some of those crabs are super realistic and huge when you catch them and show them off😭 kinda like how I heard the tarantula was causing some issues for people with arachnophobia because it was weirdly realistic especially with its wiggling. Crabs kinda freak me out in real life too so I get it

I always have a wetsuit in my pockets but I never use it. I find diving to be kinda slow, I only ever do it when I feel like trying to achieve the nook mile achievement.

I like diving more than fishing now adays. I finished my museum ages ago, but sometimes I like to do mundane repetitive tasks like fishing or diving with a podcast in the background. I prefer the latter because the way my island is set up, it's just not that great for repetitive fishing. I like to get into the mindset and wear water shoes and snorkels for it too, lol. I don't ever dive at night because it's too hard to see the shadow/bubbles.

I’ll wear the wet shoes too and I like wearing the tackle bag from the fishing tourney. I can totally see the podcast in the background, I sometimes listen to audiobooks when I play and it’s so much easier to do that for diving because I don’t need to listen to the game. When I fish I like to listen for the sound of the bobber.

I will go diving when it comes up for Nook Miles tasks but that's it for the most part. I do also really like to get an opportunity to talk to Pascal. For the most part though I don't find diving very interesting to do.

Diving is a pretty fun feature. I sometimes grab my swimsuit and dive for Nook Miles or to sell creatures for bells. I also like exchanging pearls and scallops with Pascal for Mermaid DIY recipes.

When this first came out, I did it a ton. Frantically trying to get a ton of pearls and the DIYs. After a couple of months though, I very rarely did it anymore and focused on other daily tasks.

I actually really enjoy it! i've been trying to grind for bells lately (resetting island struggles) and i've found a pocketful of sea creatures seems to be gathered a lot faster and nets me a whole lot more bells. i also have a few speedy ones i've been trying to get my hands on, and i feel like i have better luck with them than i do rarer fish and bugs

I haven’t in a while. I stopped diving the moment I finished my sea creature collections. Maybe I might go back and do it for specific creatures, idk.

I’m fine with it existing in the game, but I don’t really enjoy it. Once the museum was filled and I didn’t need Gullivarrr anymore I pretty much stopped. Same with NL.

I really liked it in new leaf, not as much in new horizons, but I still dive every time I play. I always keep a wetsuit in my inventory as well.

I used to dive all the time to collect new items for the museum, but after I stopped playing daily, I got a bit lazy. It’s not as fun for me now, but I still dive occasionally to help finish the museum and gather all the mermaid recipe items.

Yeah, I had to alot to get my remaining sea animals. That giant isopod was so annoying to get, I cant even. But I'm not planning on doing any more after the sea creatures are done.
