Hopefully to be able to make food items, but I'm doubtful as when we got pumpkins, they never gave us pumpkin pie, I mean, c'mon! We had it in NL.
I was kinda shocked it wasn't a halloween recipe. O_O

I'm really really really hopeful that we get more crops ;w; I love the idea of making an allotment area with each villager having an allotment with a bit of their personality showing through

Ahhh i am so hoping for this!! There is a lot of other systems in the game they can tie this with, like crafting and maybe even growing coffee beans for the cafe if it returns.

Oh, definitely. Dataminers have already found some evidence of it... even if it was originally for Turkey Day but they scrapped it, I'm guessing it's still coming. They wouldn't bother adding the data only to ditch it partway through. They've said they have a couple of years of updates planned at least, IIRC, so more crops to be in there I figure! Honestly, most of the things people have wondered about I think we'll get eventually (more crops, other special characters, more events, etc.)

I really hope so! I thought for sure we would get more during thanksgiving but maybe they are saving them for another update next year.
It would be really odd to introduce farming and only let us grow pumpkins. I'd love to at least see carrots. A while back more things to farm were in a datamine of the game but then they removed them I guess? Not sure what that was about.. maybe originally they planned to add more things to farm but they didn't have enough time to do it so they scrapped it or will work on it again later.
