Off. Unfortunately I don't - and can't - have curtains so usually during the day I get light through my blinds. So it's not perfect, even though I do try lol
Gotta be off. And nighttime. And I can't watch horror movies by myself. My wife won't watch them at all, so I always gotta wait for my best friend to be around.
I watch horror movies and play horror games with the lights on if I'm alone, but off if I'm with my boyfriend. He loves horror movies, as do I, but I'm very jumpy so they have to be on or light outside if I'm alone. I get paranoid super easily.
I play these types of games and watch these types of movies and TV (some Supernatural episodes) with the lights on. If they're off, my brain starts playing tricks on me, and I start hearing things and feeling presences that aren't real. Eugh.
I don't play any horror games, but sometimes when I watch horror movies I will turn the lights off just to get in the mood. I almost always watch them at night too. It feels weird watching something that's supposed to be dark and creepy in the middle of the day.
I normally play/watch with the lights on just because i'm normally in the Living Room and not in my bedroom but if i was in my bedroom then most likely with the lights off more fun and scary that way
I've had a rough past with horror movies affecting how I sleep and due to this have only recently started to sleep with the light off.
I'm way too old for this nonsense :c
I usually prefer playing or watching horror when it's already dark outside. I'll still have a small light on in my room, because I find it weird to sit in a completely dark room with only the light of the TV or laptop. It just shouldn't be bright as day, that'd ruin the mood for me and even make me unable to focus on the horror. But then again, I generally don't like watching TV before 8 at night ... I guess I'm just a weirdo.
Typically I can?t stand dark rooms because I like light, especially natural light. But I never watch movies willingly or alone so I don?t have a choice usually. I don?t play horror games.
Horror and psychological thriller are the only movie genres I can bring myself to watch but they end up being funnier than they are scary.
So since I?m not going to be scared regardless and movies suck my go-to would be my natural preference of rooms with lighting.
