Pokémon Do you watch the Pokemon Anime?

I've personally only watched XY and XYZ and loved it! I just haven't been able to get into Sun/Moon and the other seasons are hard to access for me plus I don't have much time to watch them.

Yes, I watch the anime. I’ve watched it ever since Diamond and Pearl off and on, and didn’t really start watching every episode until XY and XYZ. I still try to keep up with the Sun/Moon anime, but it’s difficult because we don’t have the right TV providers to where I can record it, and it’s also hard to find online.

I've always loved the anime, but I really loved the Diamond and Pearl and Black and White anime. Never really got into XY after that though.

i mostly just watched Indigo League and Diamond and Pearl. i didn’t really get into the seasons after Diamond and Pearl, but XY interests me.
the movies are very enjoyable too.

I've watched bits and pieces of the anime, but not really. I only remember watching it the very few times I went down South to visit my aunt. I'm not even sure what we watched it on but it was always the Indigo League, so that's the only anime I've seen so far.

I've been thinking about watching the Gen 3/Advanced anime, since that's my favorite Pokemon generation and I feel like I would really enjoy it.

Voting yes, but I currently don't. I watched the original anime, the Johto series, skipped Hoenn, watched Diamond and Pearl, watched a little bit of BW, and I personally couldn't get into XY because I just don't like Serena. I probably won't watch Sun/Moon because it seems a little too... Immature for me? I don't know.

Somewhat unrelated, but the only Pok?mon movie I've ever watched is the first movie. My friend and neighbor had the VHS copy and we watched it together. I cried.

It felt like a soft reboot. They had all these dynamic characters and tournament arcs that made up for the filler. Even though Ash didn't evolve many Pokemon, he caught enough that his team constantly rotated it didn't matter. Iris had a really good arc with her Excadril, and then later with Dragonite which went with her storyline and goals perfectly. She felt like a new and fresh character we hadn't seen before, and is probably my second favorite side character, after Dawn. I'll admit Cilan was annoying and just felt like a copy of Brock with little to no development, but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the series.

Ah, alright. Yeah, as much as there was filler, I have to admit, I enjoyed watching the tournament arcs as well. Iris was actually a pretty interesting character too. And despite Ash being at a disadvantage at times, he found new ways to use moves and stuff still that helped him win at times. I agree that it felt like a soft reboot.

yeah i watch it. i like black and white although cilan was the worst character to ever set foot on pokemon earth. xy was amazing and im currently watching sun and moon (i dont get the hate lmao)

Not really, I'm not so interested in it to watch the whole thing. I only watch some clips of it
sometimes on YouTube, but that's it.

I watched the original series and a bit of Johto during their initial run, in addition to the first three movies, before dropping the anime. I mostly dropped it due to peer pressure since I had also dropped the video games as part of "growing up". As such, I never paid attention to anything that happened in Hoenn or Sinnoh. I got back into playing the video games with HeartGold and SoulSilver since the last Pok?mon game I had played was Crystal and I was really nostalgic for it since I saw it as the best Pok?mon game for its time. By that time I was already in my teen years and had no interest in picking the anime back up as there were other things to do and watch.

I'll look back fondly at my time playing the first and second generations of the video games and watching the anime alongside it as a child. That said, considering that it seems nothing has ever mattered since Ash never ages and Pikachu seems to just get a nerf at the start of every region, I have absolutely no interest in watching it. I would potentially have been interested if they had switched out protagonists for each region to correspond with the games a bit better instead of just swapping out cast members to tag along with Ash for each new region, but well, they didn't do that. Gotta have that mascot and keep Satoshi, I guess. So, yeah, no, I haven't followed it regularly for years.

I don?t understand the hate against Sun/Moon either. Just because it?s not as great as XYZ, doesn?t mean it?s not good. It can be funny at times, but there have also been some serious episodes in it (especially in Ultra Adventures). I think people need to wait until it?s over before deciding if they hate it or not.

I watched the original anime, the indigo league, and johto journeys. I don?t have cable anymore so I can?t watch them when they come on like I used to but I?ve seen bits and pieces of the newer stuff.

The original anime will always be my favourite and I guess against popular opinion I've gotten back into it and have loved the Sun & Moon series. The only one I watched in between was the movie with Hoopa. I went to my friend's house and her son was watching the movie. I ended up getting distracted by the movie and watched the whole thing before we went out

I do find Ash to be a bit of an annoying protagonist myself, though I still did enjoy it. It's not really a problem with Ash himself but how they wrote his team. It drove me insane on how he would fully evolve some of his Pok?mon and then leave some in their first stage of evolution.

But my favorite scene in SM so far has to be the thing with Gladion and the Silvally sweatshirt thing. Every time I watch that I get a huge grin on my face.
