Pokémon Do you watch the Pokemon Anime?

I don't, but I've actually been wanting to watched the Pokemon Advanced (Gen 3) anime for a while. When I was younger, once in a while I would watch the Indigo League anime when it came on TV, but other than that I haven't really watched the Pokemon anime.



(Btw... does anyone know where I can find/watch the Gen 3 anime?)

I watched a lot of it as a kid, I'm pretty sure the last season I actively followed was the one with May and Max so it's like 6 to 9 seasons for me. I feel like I watched two episodes with Dawn, I definitely never purposefully watched one with her.

I tried to get back into at some point, but it's like the same but worse. Truthfully Pok?mon was rarely ever amazing (excluding the first couple of movies because damn), but the more recent seasons just feel much more pointless because there's never going to be any real growth apart from some call backs to get more people to watch it again. But I also prefer anime that has a concise storyline, even if that means changing the cast from season to season (think Digimon or the Danganronpa games). It would be much cooler if every generation had its own series with a plot worth following.

I definitely wouldn't recommend rewatching the anime. I have fond memories of it as a kid, but seeing the humor and storylines now it's just all very basic and uninteresting. Just watch the movies in you're in the mood, especially the second one.

I don't watch it currently. I have watched a good amount of the original Kanto anime though. Also a few scattered Johto episodes, and those that feature my favorite Pok?mon.

As a kid I watched the first series and the Orange league... maybe some johto and early hoenn but they aired pretty weird times and eventually you could only watch it online so I didn't care much.

I said "no", but that's only partially true. It's more like I haven't actively watched it in a long time. But I watched the earliest seasons a lot growing up, and while I haven't finished them, I did get a bit into the X & Y and Sun and Moon seasons a year or two ago.

No, I don't currently watch it, but I did watch it quite a bit years ago when it first came out. I haven't seen any of the new stuff, though.

So, I started it. I was dealing with some mental health problems, then got really busy. I got, like six episodes in and stopped.

I haven't kept up with the anime in a loooong time. Every time I see the S/M one pop up on Netflix I consider watching it but ultimately decide against it.

Yes! I've watched every single one since Black and White. I can't find the earlier version ones before that, but have been watching every new one that has come out so far.

I love the anime, I have XY & XYZ on DVD. I'm not much of a fan of Sun & Moon anime, though.
