Do you wish Isabelle could let you know when there’s special visitors on the Island?

Not really if I'm honest
Its fun to find whoever is on your island that day.
I think if she said that it would ruin the surprise.

I also feel like it would cause an overload of text. She can already say too much at times.

And if she had too many announcements, having an announcement wouldn't feel special any more.

I do think she should say stuff more often, but I don't really want daily things.
 
Yes, very much so.

I don't see the point of her announcements as they are now - they're almost entirely pointless, just there to take up loading time. The only instance her announcements are helpful is when there's a camper, or when there's an event that doesn't take place at resident services (like May Day or Stamp Rally).

And considering I once nearly missed C.J. because he spawned somewhere not really designed to be accessible on a cliff he couldn't even walk on... Yes. I really want her to let me know who's visiting :(
 
I don’t even listen to her anymore to be honest. She does tell you when there is a camper so I don’t think it would be that bad to announce visitors. This feature would be nice because sometimes visitors are there and I never see them even when I look or I forget to go see if Redd is there.

Find them in the weirdest places. Like the other side of my island, or on top of a cliff.

So I guess? But I don't really use them aside from models. But Im indifferent.
 
I find Isabelle to be useless the way she currently is. I wish she served more of a purpose. She is basically a filler character at this point, and I know that’s not how Nintendo intended her to be. She actually had a role in New Leaf, but now she just seems like a filler. It feels like Nintendo threw her in the game just because they wanted Isabelle as a character. She needs a role, and that doesn’t entail chilling at the Resident Services we rarely use anyway.
 
Good idea, but my idea would for there to be no Isabelle announcements during the day you first log in when there aren't any. That way, you won't waste time and she won't be annoying.
 
I would love if she said who was on the island that day. It would save so much time if you didn't have to look for someone you didn't need to talk to in the first place. Her anecdotes were cute to start with but now I just skip past her sock discussion.
 
I don't think she should explicitly tell you, but it'd be a nice touch if her ramblings gave you a hint as to who is there

like say she could bring up some topic on bugs (telling you about an annoying cockroach she found in her home or etc maybe) when flick is here, or that she can talk about how she's been thinking of redecorating/saw a show on interior decoration on days saharah is here, etc
 
I am just gonna say this Isabelle is the worst character I've seen in this game. Such a major downgrade from what she used to be in New Leaf. I mean they literally turned her into someone who just prattles on about their personal life and not talk about actual news. I mean come on seriously? Imagine if you turned on the news network and all they talk about is their personal life. Like come on talk about "actual news" instead of just speaking about your personal life.

What I would do to fix this is to make Isabelle say who the special villager is visiting (I know you can talk to your villagers about that, but its RNG with their Dialogue), tell us about how the Weather is going on, and for once in her life just tell us like what Nook's Cranny or Able Sisters is selling that could be a hot item or they have a sales discount. Its the little things that I don't ask for much, but at least it would bring life to her character.
 
You know what I really like about Animal Crossing?

Convenience.

Why go anywhere or do anything, when I can have everything told to me while the game is loading?

Why, y’know, characterise anybody, especially when I’m told that EVERYTHING’S SO BLAND?

Why show that Isabelle’s a slightly ditzy but ultimately devoted government official?

In all seriousness, please: Go outside, go look around, talk to your villagers and see what’s happening. Hopefully they’ll bring back Copper and Booker, so that they can give the characters that actually do the “telling you who’s around today” thing. Anything but “HI, HERE’S EVERYTHING THAT’S GOING ON TODAY, YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING OR GO ANYWHERE (WHICH IS KINDA THE POINT OF THIS GAME) BUT HEY, THE ANIMAL CROSSING FANDOM HAS SPOKEN”
 
I kinda need her announcements cuz I have loads and loads of decorative cliffs absolutely cramped with plants and pretty items and stuff and apparently visitors can spawn on them so yeahhh... not gonna find them
 
No. That's a job for properly trained law enforcement.
