It doesn't bother me. The clock is just a functional feature as far as I'm concerned, so as long as it serves its purpose and tells me the time and date in game, I'm not overly worried about what it looks like.
Some of the older clocks looked cute, but they took up too much space and I hated when they popped up while I was trying to take a picture. So this new minimalistic design is kind of nice in that respect.
i like both clocks tbh, but the the new one fits better with the other uis in game. i kind of like how theyre making everything more simplistic since its an aesthetic i like, but it does miss the animal crossing charm it used to have.
I thought the UI in past games was kind of bulky and ugly to be honest. I’m liking their direction in Animal Crossing: New Horizons a lot more, including the screen clock.
i love it so much, im a big fan of minimalism and also it blocks so much less of the screen now, making it perfect for screenshots on the switch. also its a bit easier to read in digital (yes i can read analogue, i just prefer digital cos its quicker to read).
personally i like the older one better- like the one in new leaf.
i think they were probably going for a more 'modern' and 'sleek' look for this new clocks design.
however, it seems to fit a bit better with new horizons. the graphics are already really sleek and everything, and i'm sure we will get used to it and won't even notice!
Now... I still don't like it. I don't hate it, by any means, but I wish that it had a bit of a background, even if it was a bit translucent. I don't like the text to be floating like that.
