Does anyone else get super excited when they see recognizable villagers in HHP?

There aren’t any villagers I don’t recognize, at this point, but I get excited when I see my less common favorites show up.

I am always happy to see favorites, some of which are popular, some of which are not. But I do get tired (or at least less excited about) of seeing the same few villagers in all the pictures online, so often my unpopular favorites feel more novel and exciting.

but don’t get me wrong, if a more popular favorite like apple or kabuki or judy showed up, I definitely would be pretty happy to see them, and excited to make a home for them. It just might be a bit more fun to find Maggie or stinky or Graham.

so after writing all that I guess I am kind of saying I prefer the less recognizable villagers?

you know, i was so excited to get kidd, old villager on my new leaf island. im also excited to get harry, because his requests is so weird and thats funny! (also weirdly, he's my little brother's favorite villager.) im also excited getting boyd! i dont know but i think he's cute and sweet. he is now the chef on my restaurant! HHP makes me love every kind of villagers. and also (a bit bored with cafe, greenhouse etc common requests ) i personally choose the villager who have the most challenging requests the most, and mostly (ignore popular villagers bc of boring requests) im sorry fans but sometimes i pick my favorites one which is not really popular lol. example like ace (im sad that he's hated) bruce, pudge, chief, tom, etc.

i get excited every time i see one i recognize! they're so fun to design for, honestly, even the ones i'm not immediately familiar with. have to say i have yet to come across a vacation theme that just didn't jive with me.

Mostly same ! I recently came across the ‘toilet house’ theme though and i gotta say....while very interesting, i can’t honestly say that theme didn’t just confuse the heck out of me

Some of themes that villager ask for can get a bit repetitive. Like Louie told me that he wanted a Jungle Gym and then the next villager by the name Rio wanted a "Fitness" home. Like could they at least be more creative and not try to copy each other?

Oh! I always make repeat requests be roommates lol
I want them all to have homes but i just don’t have the patience

oh wow that is a weird one. strangest one i've come across is pudge's pretentious palace. which while odd, was still fun to design!

For example, there is this older looking ram/goat that I would like to encounter because his theme is pottery and that sounds relaxing.

I do like when I see somebody who I recognize, but more importantly, I love it whenever I see somebody who was on my island at one point appear. It's always great being able to see them again and give them a vacation home. Those are the requests I spend the most time on, lol

But it can be confusing when that same villager is living on your island but then at the Resort was the same one you made their home. Its hard to tell sometimes.

that's billy! i did his home the other day, it was so fun! I really enjoyed doing pottery in middle school art and summer camp, so it was super fun to make him a little pottery studio.

Absolutely! I love seeing villagers I love! I always choose them to design for next lol sorry ugly villagers.

Oh definitely. I saw Bam and Axel on the HHP island and almost decorated a house for them. However my fiance is the one playing on my switch at least for the designing part, since I'm really no good at that. So I just let her choose. Our goal is to eventually design a house for all 400+ characters though so no big deal. They'll come back eventually.

Yes, I'm not super thrilled with HHP but I went over there and Pekoe was on the beach and I was super excited to see her so I made her a vacation home. Ditto for Marlo. So I guess I'm gradually getting into HHP even though I don't like it as much as the original game. And my vac homes are not nearly as nice as the ones by people with excellent skills but I'm trying to do well for my fav villagers.
