No but I should. I'm taking a year off before I go to college and I should continue studying the basics so when I do go to college, I at least remember things from high school.
why is it ouch? it's cuz my dad was the one who forced us to study and my mom would find the stupid workbooks or whatever so the arrangement didn't work out afterwards lul
I used to do that when I was younger too haha. She would make me study and bought workbooks as supplementary learning materials. I would just write whatever in them and then spend the rest of my time playing. My mom rarely checked my work and when she did, she would just glance over that I did it and be satisfied. Honestly, thinking back on that time I would've been better for both of us if she took the time to check over what I wrote. If I have kids, I'll know better than to assign something and not follow up on it. Now that I'm older, I like learning new things. Still not a huge fan of studying but I'll do it if I'm motivated.
Graduated high school without studying once oops. (And no, I didn't just take the easiest classes in order to graduate, had IB French SL, Math SL, and Chem HL. Still not sure why I even took Chem HL, it was interesting but I have no interest in having a career that'll require that knowledge lel) So yeah, studying over summer is just an even bigger no for me.
It's a good idea to at least keep sharp on your skills for the next year, kids can lose a good portion of what they learned the previous year over the summer break, so it's good to keep your skills fresh in your mind or else you'll end up having a hard time when you get back. I like the idea of educational games and stuff like that, so it doesn't really "feel" like studying.
Nope! I'm just trying to enjoy my work-free life until my mom makes me get a job when I turn 15. I usually forget a lot, but after the first week of school I usually re-remember (is that even a word?) everything I learned previously.
The only thing I always study in the summer is music, but that's not just for school, it's enjoyment for me too, but other than that, nope, I'm a senior next year, and have managed to come all this way being a really good student without doing it.
