Don't Expect Retro Games to Play in New Animal Crossing Releases

It would be a good idea if they made it how you could play with the arcade machine and tabletop game though.

It's a shame that you buy a 50 dollar game and they would still rather have you overpay $5 each for VC games that are nearly thirty years old.

They could always make special versions of the games similar to how Super Mario Bros had Super Mario Bros. All Night Nippon

Oh, and I don't get that either. Considering that some games like Balloon Fight and Ice Climber don't have much substance to them. 5 dollars is a bit much. They are barely even worth 2 dollars.

I am perfectly fine with them not wasting space on retro games that could be used for other features.

The reason why this was implemented into animal crossing in the first place was because back when the gc was popular there were no other methods of playing or obtaining retro Nintendo games other than trying to find a (rare) copy of one. Now that we have the 3DS' virtual console and what not it just seemed unnecessary to add it.

The devs were concerned about these retro games and thought implementing them in the GC animal crossing was not only convenient and beneficial for its own unique consumers but also the pre-existing fans of retro games, thus bringing even more appeal to the first implementation of the growing franchise!

Personally, I didn't really like the retro games in the GC ver. As fun as some found them, I thought they drew attention away from the original content of the game. Less "let's play ac for its totally unique characteristics!" and unfortunately more " I can play retro games? COOL! Ill primarily focus my time on playing the retro games, screw the actual game's storyline!"

Like I said before, they could just make some of the furniture interactive. For example, make the karaoke machine a music game, they can make the arcade machine an actual game you can play, they can make the table top game playable, they can make the majong playable and they can even make it how you can actually watch TV. There are many ways they can supplement the retro games. Just use the furniture instead.

My problem with the VC games is they simply stick the games into a generic emulator, edit the manual, and then put them on the eShop. I understand that the initial making of the emulator might have cost some, but I doubt it was very much. I would mind paying a little bit of money for the games, but some stuff just isn't worth it. Now, say, if they released Earthbound for the Wii U, I'd gladly pay 5-10 dollars for it, considering the cartridge is like $150-200+ nowadays. But, I could go to my local flea market and pay 2 bucks for SMB.

I'd really just like for some furniture that's for more than just decorating your house. There's some, but none of it really does anything useful except for something like the ADB.

You paid $50 for your game?

I don't remember how much it was. I preordered when I preordered my 3DS. After two years, I just tell the Gamestop employee, "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY."

I just said 50 dollars because most new retail games are around that price or just a bit below.

Exactly. As great as AC is, it would be nice to have some more interactive furniture or some in-built games.

I actually have come up with ideas for AC games before, but since there's no real way to suggest the ideas to anyone at Nintendo, it doesn't help.
