Don't you think some villagers popularity is dwindling?

Francine seems to be less popular and it looks to me like Bunnie are less popular Than She was when i yoined this forum only ? couple of weeks ago

Stitches is adorable. Marshal is cute. Julian is fun, Peanut is also adorable. Merengue is flipping adorbs. All the deer are cute. Ankha is cool. Lolly and Rosie are sweet and Chrissy is pretty.

Come on, people. They're popular for a reason.

I don't really have anything against popular villagers I absolutely ADORE Beau and have been hunting for him for ages! It's just sometimes I wish that other villagers appeared in the trading plaza more often.

I dont think this is about liking/disliking villagers in ? personal opinion. Its more about noticing trends in villagers popularity. I think that is smart! When i started to yoin diferent forums i couldnt dream about ever getting a popular caracter like Bunnie. In the end i got her for free and i LOVE her. Almost never see posts about Bunnie nowardays ^_^

It's not like the less popular villagers don't appear in the trading plaza. They just appear in cycling threads and giveaways so they are gone fast compared to auctions that last days and get pushed all the time so unless you really are looking, you will miss that.

When I first joined, Julian was all the hype. Not to say he isn't popular now, but it seems there's less "omgomgjulianomg1!one!".
Its all about Marshal and Merengue now.

I agree that their popularity is going down. I think it has to do with everyone achieving their dreamie status. Either keeping them for themselves or realizing it's not what they really wanted. Some popular villagers definitely disappointed. As cute as Rosie was (and yes, I'm happy I did invite her to move in from my campsite) she got annoying and didn't enjoy her very much. I didn't keep Julian very long after he randomly moved in, he wasn't all that great everyone made him out to be.

I also think it's people losing interest in the game and people getting second copies of their game and cycling dream villagers. The trading plaza isn't as busy as it used to be. There's a lot more give away and auction bids that used to go for 60 million are now going for 5 million.

It has to do with blogs that had AC:NL before all of us ever did. For example, that girl (http://www.sosostris.com) had an immensely popular blog in the 2-3 weeks before we all got the game and she started flipping when she got Julian because she's a girl and they seem to be genetically programmed to adore unicorns. She also had Shep, for example. And those two got very very popular before even the game was released because, I think, of her blog.

Blogs are a good point. Visually seeing screenshots of how villagers interact and their appearance is a huge part of it.

she's a girl and they seem to be genetically programmed to adore unicorns.
^^ this, unnecessary in getting your point across.

Im sure thisis also happening because a lot of people have their dreamies now. I'm sure a whole bunch of people have Julian now therefore the demand for him as decrease.
