MS Paint is great.

@Cocovampire
Are you looking for advice with MS Paint or SAI or um ?? I'm sorry, I'm not sure, but what you drew looks really cute. The fill tool in Paint would save you the time of painting inside your lines so I recommend doing lineart before filling in colours and maybe drawing really thin outlines with the default 1px pencil when you want to shade, but other than that I don't really know what to tell you lol. MS Paint is really nice for sketching, though. I love how easy and smooth the lines come out in it.

If you were asking about Wacom/SAI, both are really good, cheap-ish tools for arting and I 100% recommend both, even though I will always prefer Photoshop over SAI.

Sobbing for some reason PS intimidates me ;_; There are so many things I don't understand and I end up getting scared smh
Then I go back crawling to SAI because SAI doesn't scare me ;-;

There isn't much to understand about Photoshop tbh. What you'll be using 99.9% of the time are the brush tool, your layers panel, and your image menu (for colour adjustments and flipping/rotating), which is basically the same things one would use in SAI. Don't focus on everything else because the sheer amount of different tools Photoshop offers can be quite intimidating, but rather start with those three, maybe learn how to use the transform tool if you really want to early on, and eventually you'll learn about the rest by playing around with settings. ;)

So if you were a developer that had worked really hard on some software, would you be happy if people were just stealing it?

im crying probably not though
but i usually draw in sai, then just adujust the colors in PS and edit it from there ;v;

i'll probably try to draw more on it, but changing colors and brush sizes is a pain ; - ;

If they can't afford it, they should just get a free program like GIMP

I learn't on GIMP and I'm fine.
But there is so many different programs out there, so don't steal!

For once I agree with mayorevvie, stealing software is really terrible. It's why so many developers hesitate to make PC games since people just pirate them. You won't believe how many companies go out of business because of it. It's best to buy the full version once you can afford it, so that you're supporting that good software like this will be continued to be made in the future.

Installing pirated versions of software is the same thing as using an adoptable design without buying it.
